You will work with data and AI teams across centers of excellence to drive scalable AI initiatives in a hybrid cloud environment.

You will develop AI agents, manage MLOps, and implement robust engineering standards while collaborating with global teams and stakeholders to deliver impactful data-driven business

Qualifications

• Several years of experience as data scientist or AI engineer.
• Proficiency with Python and SQL; experience with Docker-based microservices.
• Experience with data analytics frameworks and microservices in hybrid cloud environments.

Role Description

The Senior AI Engineer designs, builds, and operates high ‑ quality, scalable AI solutions to meet current and future business needs of internal stakeholders in a timely manner. They leverage modern AI engineering, data, and cloud toolkits to develop production ‑ ready models, agents, and automation solutions that create sustainable business value. Reporting to the Team Leader of the Data and AI team in Berlin, the AI Engineer will be a member of the newly established CEO–Chairman Technology Team for Data Analytics and AI. This Center of Excellence enables all CEO Chairman functions through AI engineering, advanced analytics, and automation solutions. As part of a newly founded team, the Senior AI Engineer will pioneer the development of innovative AI ‑ driven applications, establish robust engineering standards, and help shape scalable, effective processes that will be instrumental to the long ‑ term success of the function.

Your key responsibilities

• Design and Development of AI models in particular within area of Natural Language Processing and GenerativeAI
• Broad knowledge to explore, implement, train and evaluate identified AI models and their respective MLOps activities with Python and Project Jupyter toolset.
• Deep experience in developing self-service analytics solutions using Python and SQL.
• Adopt to hybrid and native cloud technologies with OpenShift and Google Cloud Platform.
• Driving software engineering principles to build AI agents (i.e. MCP server) within the team adopting market’s best practices alongside with DB’s principles and procedures to deliver high‑quality solutions through coding, system testing and documentation.
• Enhance existing data‑driven solutions regarding data ingest, transformation, reporting and machine learning capabilities.
• Identify automation opportunities and develop solutions that simplify data delivery processes and make them more efficient with AI workflows.
• Knowledge in product management to shape future AI solutions based on entire lifecycle from defining requirements with stakeholders until their deployment of implemented features.

Your skills and experience

• Multiple years’ experience as data scientist or AI engineer ideally using Python, SQL and Docker Micro Services
• Experience on development frameworks for both frontend and backend (e.g. Python Pandas, NumPy, Flask)
• Deep knowledge of big data analytics/AI architectures (i.e. Data Warehousing, ETL) on hybrid cloud environments in particular OpenShift and Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Multiple years of experience in finance industry, internal audit functions or highly regulated environments is considered a plus
