Job summary

NetApp is hiring a Senior AI Engineer to design, build, and ship production-grade AI/ML solutions and distributed systems. You will own features end-to-end, from design and coding to deployment and monitoring, and mentor other engineers.

Required: 8+ years in production software with a strong AI/ML track record, strong Python, and experience with TensorFlow/PyTorch/scikit-learn, plus AWS/Azure/GCP and Docker/Kubernetes. Hybrid Bengaluru role in India.

Qualifications

• 8 years production software experience with strong AI/ML track record.
• Proficiency in Python and one of Java/Go/C/C++.
• Hands-on with TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn; strong CS fundamentals.
• Experience with AWS/Azure/GCP and Docker/Kubernetes; data privacy and security awareness.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deploy AI/ML solutions to production at cloud scale; architect backend services, data pipelines, and REST APIs.
• Own the full lifecycle: design, development, testing, deployment, and monitoring.
• Mentor engineers and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders.
• Drive bug fixes, RCAs, and automation; stay updated with AI and cloud-native tech; uphold privacy and security.

Must-Haves

• 8 yearsbuilding production software, with a strong AI/ML track record.

• Hands-on with TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn.Strong fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, system design, REST APIs, Linux.
• Experience with AWS/Azure/GCPandDocker/Kubernetes.Solid grasp of statistics, data mining, and visualization.

Nice-to-Haves

• Led AI projects from concept to production.Experience with data protection / backup & restore,filesystems, ordistributed systems.
• Deep cloud infra knowledge (storage, databases, caching, networking, load balancers).Git and agile workflows; publications or open-source contributions.

Education

IC - Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of related experience.Mgr & Exec - Typically requires a minimum of 6 years of related experience.
