Job summary

Cognizant is seeking an AI/ML Architect to lead enterprise-scale AI initiatives in Chennai, operating in a hybrid model. You will architect end-to-end AI/ML platforms, guide teams, and deliver predictive, generative, and autonomous AI solutions across cloud and on-prem environments.

The role requires deep expertise in PyTorch, Data Science, ML, and agentic AI, with responsibility for governance, scalability, and production readiness across diverse business use cases.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in Data Science, ML, and AI architecture.
• Hands-on expertise in PyTorch and Deep Learning.
• Production-grade ML solutions design and deployment.
• Knowledge of agentic AI architectures, orchestration, and tools.
• Experience with RAG, LLM orchestration, and Generative AI.
• Strong Python and ML software development practices.
• Knowledge of MLOps and AI governance frameworks.
• Experience with cloud-based AI platforms and scalable AI infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Design scalable end-to-end AI and ML architectures for enterprise applications.

Required Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in Data Science, Machine Learning, and AI Solution Architecture.
• Strong hands‑on expertise in PyTorch and Deep Learning frameworks.
• Extensive experience designing and deploying production-grade Machine Learning solutions.
• Proven experience in Data Science methodologies, statistical modeling, and advanced analytics.
• Strong understanding of Agentic AI architectures, AI agents, tool integration, and autonomous workflows.
• Experience implementing RAG, LLM orchestration, prompt engineering, and Generative AI solutions.
• Expertise in Python and AI/ML software development best practices.
• Knowledge of MLOps, model lifecycle management, and AI governance frameworks.
