Job summary

MathWorks in Bengaluru offers a hybrid work model and seeks a seasoned Verification & Validation engineer to resolve complex issues, mentor engineers, and influence product features through design reviews and customer insights. You will create demos and technical content, engage with select customer accounts, and help shape the future direction of our tools to meet evolving customer needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 6 years of professional work experience required or equivalent.
• Strong verification and validation experience with complex systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead the resolution of escalated and advanced technical issues.
• Mentor fellow engineers in their technical growth.
• Influence new product features via review of designs, usability studies, and/or authoring source code.
• Influence product direction by contributing knowledge of customer applications.
• Create content for the MathWorks community (demos, technical writing).
• Engage with selected customer accounts to resolve blocking issues or multiple product questions.

Minimum Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree and 6 years of professional work experience (or a master's degree and 3 years of professional work experience, or a PhD degree, or equivalent experience) is required.

Additional Qualifications

Nice-to-have qualifications:

• Strong hands-on working experience applying formal methods to system verification and validation.
• Experience using MathWorks products - MATLAB, Simulink, Stateflow, Simulink Coverage, and Simulink Design Verifier.
• Firsthand experience or awareness of the design challenges within the Aerospace, Automotive.
• Awareness of software implementation aspects, safety-critical applications, production-quality code, and certification processes & requirements (e.g: DO-178B).
