Job summary

Orange Business is hiring a Senior Administrator - Cloud Ops to join our IT Delivery Infrastructure Operations Support division in India. The role focuses on Windows server administration, L2 incident management, and virtualization management with VMware/Hyper-V in a 24x7 operational environment.

You will handle server installation, Active Directory, DNS, patch and virus management, and P2V/V2V migrations while working in a flexible, teamwork-driven setting with on-call requirements and shift

Qualifications

• 6 years of experience in Windows System Administration.
• Experience in ITIL practices for Incident, Change, Problem and Configuration Management.
• L2 Incident Management & System Administration of Windows environment.

Responsibilities

• L2 incident management and system administration of Windows environment.
• Server installation and configuration (Must Have).
• Active Directory, DNS management (OU/GPO/Forest and domain config).
• Hyper-V/VMware deployment and management of VMs (Must Have).
• Disk administration including quotas and DFS (Must Have).
• Patch management and virus management (Must Have).
• Troubleshooting OS & Hyper-V related issues (Must Have).
• Experience in P2V & V2V migrations.
• Knowledge of RAID technologies and clustering (basic).
• BIOS and firmware upgrades; file and print servers; server management tools; log monitoring.

About the role

Senior Administrator - Cloud Ops is a position in IT Delivery Infrastructure Operations Support Division.

The candidate will be accountable for IT Delivery for theVMWare & Windows Technology being delivered with a set of applications, a shared platform, or an infrastructure-as-a-service.

The following are the responsibilities for the position:

• L2 Incident Management & System Administration of Windows environment
• Knowledge of Windows 2003/2008/2012 Servers (Must Have)
• Server installation and configuration (Must Have)
• Active Directory, DNS Management (OU/GPO/Forest and domain config and etc) (Must Have)
• Hyper-V / VMware - Deployment and management of Hyper-V VMs (Must Have)
• Disk Administration: Compact Partitions & Shares, Disk Quotas, DFS (Must Have)
• Patch management and Virus Management (Must Have)
• Troubleshooting skills in OS & Hyper-V related issues(Must Have)
• Experience in P2V & V2V migrations.
• Hands-on knowledge of various RAID technologies (RAID 0+1, RAID 1, RAID 5, etc.) (Should have basic knowledge)
• Knowledge of clustering (geo cluster, multinodes passive/active) (Should have basic knowledge)
• BIOS upgrades and firmware upgrades.
• Working Knowledge of File and Print servers
• Knowledge of server management tools
• Log monitoring/maintenance

About you

Candidate Skill Profile:

• 6 years of Experience in Windows System Administration
• Excellent Verbal and written communication skills.
• Good interpersonal Skills.
• The candidate should have worked in a SLA driven environment.
• Ability to work in a flexible, team-oriented, and constantly changing environment
• Good level of practical technical knowledge.
• Experience in ITIL best practices for Incident management, change management, problem management, and configuration management.

Knowledge and abilities:

• Ability to engage and partner with customer and internal staff as required. Ability to work in a virtual team environment.
• Ability to identify problems and work to resolution as required. Should be a team player

Additional Information:

• Good VMware knowledge; VMware certification preferred.
• Good knowledge and hands-on experience of Windows server products; Microsoft Certification Preferred.
• Knowledge of Server hardware & remote access tools required.
• Ability to work in an operational model and rotational shifts.
• Ability to work on critical incidents
• Ability to handle major incidents and troubleshoot the same.
• On-call support required - candidate to stand by outside of normal work hours to provide on-call support if needed.
• ITIL Foundation.
