Job summary

Alan in Belgium is seeking an Insurance Expert to design and price offers, monitor risks, and guide the team on healthcare and insurance nuances. You will work with cross-functional colleagues to deliver competitive, compliant insurance solutions for large customers and public institutions.

We value a scientific background (actuarial sciences, statistics, mathematics or data science) and 5+ years in insurance, with fluency in English and Dutch. French is a plus.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in the insurance sector with health insurance exposure.
• Fluent in English and Dutch (French is a plus).
• Scientific background (actuarial sciences, statistics, mathematics or data science) with practical insurance experience (product, pricing, regulatory or analytics).
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills; ability to translate data, business and legal questions into outputs.
• Builder mindset; willingness to change the insurance and healthcare industry and challenge the status quo.

Is it you we're looking for?

You may be a great fit for the role if:

• You have 5+ years of experience in the insurance sector, with meaningful exposure to health insurance products (hospitalisation, group insurance, disability or dental)

• You are fluent in English and Dutch (French is a plus)

• You combine a scientific background (actuarial sciences, statistics, mathematics or data science) with practical experience in insurance (product, pricing, regulatory or analytics)

• You have strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to translate complex data, business and legal questions into actionable outputs

• You have a builder mindset: you continuously identify opportunities to improve and scale processes and systems

• You are willing to deeply change the insurance and healthcare industry and challenge the status quo

• You communicate in a clear, structured and to-the-point way (written and spoken)

For this role, we are looking to hire within the C1-E level range.
