Job summary

ScaleX Media in India is seeking a Senior Accountant for a permanently remote role. You will manage financial accounting data for a growing performance marketing company, ensuring timely and accurate reporting and supporting management with MIS, reconciliations, and compliance tasks.

The ideal candidate has a minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, proficiency in Tally and Zoho, GST invoices and TDS processing, strong MS Office skills, and a background in a Chartered Accountant firm is

Qualifications

• Graduate with at least 3 years of professional experience in accounting or CA IPCC.
• Proficiency in Tally and Zoho; GST invoices and TDS processing.
• Experience in a Chartered Accountant firm preferred.
• Strong knowledge of GST regulations and Income Tax compliance.
• Excellent MS Office skills and analytical abilities.

Responsibilities

• Finalize accounts and books using Tally/Zoho.
• Prepare MIS reports for senior management.
• Conduct bank reconciliations.
• Generate and manage invoices.
• Complete GST return filings including GSTR 1/2A/2B/3B.
• Assist with annual GST filings (GSTR 9/9C).
• Support tax audits and statutory audits.
• Manage TDS filings and returns.
• Coordinate with clients, vendors and internal teams.
• Oversee payroll processing.

To manage the team and ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial accounting data in a variety of areas for a performance marketing company. Must have analytical and organisational skills to best support the management.

What does an ideal candidate look like?

• A graduate with a minimum of 3 years of professional experience in the accounting field, or completion of CA IPCC.
• Proficient in accounting software such as Tally and Zoho, with expertise in recording GST invoices (both purchases and sales) and TDS-related expenses.
• Previous experience working within a Chartered Accountant firm is preferred.
• In-depth understanding of financial functions and adherence to industry best practices.
• Strong command of MS Office applications, knowledge of GST regulations and Income Tax compliance.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Finalisation of accounts and books of records using Tally/Zoho software.
• Preparation of Management Information System (MIS) reports for senior management.
• Conducting regular bank reconciliations.
• Generation and management of invoices.
• Complete GST return filing process, including data collection, preparation of GSTR 1, reconciliation of GSTR 2A & 2B, and filing of GSTR 3B.
• Basic understanding of annual GST filings, including GSTR 9 and GSTR 9C.
• Providing support for tax audits and statutory audits.
• Management of TDS filings and corrections, including the full process of deduction, deposit, and preparation of TDS returns.
• Handling and resolving client queries on a daily basis.
• Coordination with clients, vendors, and internal teams to ensure smooth operations.
• Overseeing payroll processing.
