Job summary

IQ-EQ is seeking a Fund Accountant in Hyderabad to deliver high-quality fund accounting, NAV reporting, and investor reporting services for private equity clients. You will manage capital calls, distributions, and onboarding activities while ensuring IFRS, Ind AS, and GAAP compliance across a multinational financial services environment.

The role emphasizes ownership of client deliverables, reviewing queries, meeting deadlines, and collaborating with global teams to drive continuous improvement

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in private equity or fund accounting services.
  • Knowledge of Ind AS, IFRS, and GAAP (US, UK, Lux) and experience preparing financial statements and disclosures.
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills with financial reporting tools.
  • Proficient with MS Office and fund accounting platforms such as Investran, Paxus, or similar.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review NAV reporting, financial statements with disclosures, management accounts, and investor notices for private equity funds.
  • Manage capital call and distribution calculations, process payments, and respond to client/investor queries within SLAs.
  • Assist onboarding of new funds and support migrations from other accounting systems to Investran and Paxus.
  • Review team outputs, monitor workflows, maintain timesheets, and ensure SSAE compliance and risk controls.
  • Collaborate with NAV teams, support junior members, and escalate operational issues promptly.

Job Description

As a Fund Accountant, you'll be responsible for delivering high-quality fund accounting, NAV reporting, financial statements, and investor reporting services for private equity clients. You'll work closely with NAV teams, manage capital calls and distributions, support fund onboarding and accounting system migrations, and ensure compliance with IFRS, Ind AS, GAAP, SSAE, and internal procedures. The role requires strong technical accounting knowledge, ownership of client deliverables, and the ability to review, resolve queries, and meet strict deadlines. You'll collaborate with global teams, support workflow management, and contribute to continuous improvement while maintaining high accuracy and service standards. This position offers exposure to private equity fund operations, client management, financial reporting, and multinational financial services environments.


What You’ll Do


  • You’ll prepare and review NAV reporting, financial statements with disclosures, management accounts, working papers, investor notices, partner statements, and other client deliverables for private equity funds.

  • You’ll manage capital call and distribution calculations, process payments, address client and investor queries, and ensure all deliverables are completed accurately within agreed SLAs and timelines.

  • You’ll assist with onboarding new private equity funds and support migration/conversion activities from other accounting systems to Investran and Paxus.

  • You’ll review team outputs, address review comments, monitor workflows, maintain accurate timesheets, and ensure compliance with SSAE requirements, procedures, and risk controls.

  • You’ll collaborate with NAV teams, support junior team members, gain knowledge of client agreements and reporting requirements, and elevate operational issues, risks, errors, or concerns in a timely manner.

Qualifications


  • You have a degree in Accounting or a business-related discipline with 2+ years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in private equity or fund accounting services.

  • You have knowledge of Ind AS, IFRS, and GAAP (US, UK, Lux) and experience preparing financial statements, disclosures, working papers, and financial reports.

  • You have intermediate to advanced Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, IF functions, and other financial reporting tools.

  • You have experience using Microsoft Office applications and accounting platforms such as Investran, Paxus, or similar fund accounting systems, along with strong written and verbal English communication skills.

  • You are customer-focused, action-oriented, resilient, self-aware, and collaborative, with the ability to prioritize work, manage stakeholder relationships, handle conflicts professionally, and adapt within a multinational financial services environment.
