Job summary

UnitedHealth Group in India (Gurugram) is seeking an experienced CA to manage financial statements, month-end close, and regulatory reporting. You will ensure accuracy of balance sheets, income statements, and notes to accounts with adherence to Schedule III.

Role requires 3+ years of experience, strong analytical skills, and effective communication. Proficiency in ERP/SAP and Excel is preferred, with awareness of IND-AS and auditing standards. Salary will reflect market norms.

Qualifications

  • B. Com graduate and CA qualification completed.
  • 3+ years of experience handling financial statements and month end reporting.
  • Knowledge of ERP and SAP; experience with PeopleSoft and Excel.
  • Knowledge of IND-AS and auditing standards.
  • Strong GAAP understanding and analytical/documentation ability.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare financial statements and month end close.
  • Perform bank reconciliations and variance analysis.
  • Support balance sheet, P&L, and Notes to Accounts as per Schedule III.
  • Maintain Fixed Assets and asset registers per applicable acts.
  • Prepare journal entries and ensure proper accounting classifications.
  • Adhere to employment contracts, policies, and location changes as needed.

This role is primarily responsible for preparation of financial statements and reports, month end closing and reporting, account reconciliations, compliance in local tax and reporting requirements.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Month end closing which will include accruals preparation, prepaid amortization, cost allocations and payroll accounting
  • Preparation of Bank reconciliation statements
  • Performing variance analysis (both PL & BS) and explanation (period-over-period actuals)
  • Provide support to prepare financial statements including balance sheet, statements of profit and Loss and Notes to Accounts as per Schedule III of companies Act, 2013
  • Fixed Assets accounting & maintenance of Fixed assets register as per USGAAP, Companies Act & Income Tax Act
  • Prepare journal entries and reviews accounting classifications in accordance with local GAAP
  • Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). The Company may adopt, vary or rescind these policies and directives in its absolute discretion and without any limitation (implied or otherwise) on its ability to do so
Required Qualifications
  • B. Com Graduate and a qualified - CA
  • 3+ years of experience of handling financial statements and month end reporting
  • Knowledge of ERP and SAP (Ex: PeopleSoft, Excel, etc)
  • Knowledge of IND-AS, standard on auditing
  • Sound understanding of generally accepted accounting principles
  • Proven analytical skills & an inquisitive mind, strong communication skills and documentation ability, detail oriented, self-motivated and ability to proactively work toward a goal
