Job summary

Harsh Life Science is seeking a Senior Accountant to independently manage day-to-day accounting functions, including bookkeeping, reconciliations, GST/TDS filings, and vendor/client account management, while coordinating with the Head of Accounts & Finance on reporting and compliance matters.

The role requires strong GST/TDS knowledge, proficiency in Tally/ERP and MS Excel, and the ability to meet deadlines, reconcile ledgers, and support audits across branches.

Job description

The Senior Accountant will independently handle day-to-day accounting functions including bookkeeping, reconciliations, GST/TDS filings, and vendor/client account management, while coordinating closely with the Head of Accounts & Finance on reporting and compliance matters.

Role & responsibilities

• Maintain accurate books of accounts and ensure timely posting of all financial transactions.
• Handle accounts payable and receivable, including invoicing, vendor payments, and collections.
• Perform bank, vendor, and ledger reconciliations on a regular basis.
• Prepare and file GST returns, TDS returns, and other statutory filings within deadlines.
• Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Support preparation of MIS reports and branch-wise financial data.
• Coordinate with auditors and consultants during audits and assessments.
• Identify and resolve accounting discrepancies in a timely manner.

Preferred candidate profile

• Strong working knowledge of accounting principles, GST, and TDS.
• Proficiency in Tally/ERP and MS Excel.
• Good analytical and reconciliation skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Good communication skills for coordinating with branches and vendors.
