Job summary

Cognite Academy is building a world-class learning ecosystem to accelerate customer value with scalable, high-quality instructional content. You will design and deliver complex technical programs for enterprise software, AI and cloud platforms, partnering with Product and Engineering to ensure real-world relevance and impact.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in instructional design, learning design, or enterprise learning.
• Proven ability to design complex technical learning programs for SaaS, AI, cloud, or data platforms.
• Experience leading content teams in fast-growing environments.
• Deep expertise in adult learning theory, instructional design methodologies, and performance-based learning.
• Experience designing instructor-led and digital learning experiences.
• Proficiency with eLearning and AI-enabled tools like Articulate Rise, Storyline, or Synthesia.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable learning content and experiences for Cognite Academy.
• Translate complex tech concepts into clear materials, labs, assessments, and hands-on experiences.
• Build content standards, templates, and reusable frameworks with quality guidelines.
• Leverage AI tools to improve content development and QA processes.
• Own and optimize the Skilljar platform: publishing, paths, configurations, and automation.
• Collaborate with SMEs, Product, Engineering, and Academy teams to ensure accuracy and relevance.
• Analyze learner and platform data to improve engagement, completion, and certification outcomes.

How you’ll demonstrate Ownership

Cognite Academy plays a strategic role in this transformation by building the skills, knowledge, and capabilities
required for customers, partners, and internal teams to successfully adopt and scale Cognite’s technology. We are
building a world-class learning ecosystem that combines modern instructional design, AI-enabled learning
experiences, hands-on technical enablement, and role-based learning journeys to accelerate customer value
realization and product adoption.

• Design and develop scalable, high-quality learning content and experiences for Cognite Academy.

• Translate complex technical concepts into clear, engaging learning materials, labs, assessments, and hands-on experiences.

• Build and maintain content standards, templates, reusable frameworks, and quality guidelines.

• Leverage AI tools and automation to improve content development, localization, assessment creation, and quality assurance.

• Own and optimize the Skilljar learning platform, including course publishing, learning paths, configurations, reporting, and automation.

• Partner with technical SMEs, Product, Engineering, and Academy teams to ensure content is accurate, relevant, and aligned with learner needs.

• Analyze learner and platform data to improve content effectiveness, engagement, completion, and certification outcomes.

• Drive continuous improvement of content, learning experiences, and Academy platform capabilities.

The Impact you bring to Cognite

8+ years of experience in instructional design, learning experience design, technical training, customer
education, or enterprise learning.

Proven experience designing complex technical learning programs for enterprise software, SaaS, AI, cloud
platforms, industrial software, developer technologies, or data platforms.

Experience leading instructional design or content-development teams in a high-growth or fast-paced
environment.

Deep expertise in adult learning theory, learning science, instructional design methodologies, and performance-
based learning.

Advanced experience designing instructor-led, virtual instructor-led, self-paced, blended, and digital learning
experiences.

Strong experience with modern eLearning and AI-enabled content development tools such as Articulate Rise,
Synthesia, Storyline, or equivalent platforms.

Hands-on experience with Skilljar or another enterprise customer education / learning platform, including
learning paths, publishing, reporting, governance, or automation.

Experience designing technical assessments, certifications, or performance-based
