Job summary

Ericsson in Bangalore, India is seeking a Senior 5G System Developer to contribute to the evolution of 5G NR and 6G concepts. You will work on systemization for features across Scheduler, Physical Layer, and RRM, and develop simulations to analyze performance against operator KPIs.

Strong theory, DSP, and 3GPP knowledge are essential. You'll design algorithms and test cases, collaborate with global teams, and help deploy new 5G/6G capabilities in customer networks, while pushing continuous

• Strong background in communications theory and digital signal processing.
• Solid understanding of LTE & NR 3GPP specifications, esp. Physical Layer, RRM and Mobility.
• Experience in SW development for Link and Network Simulations.
• Proficient in Java, C/C++, Python and MATLAB.
• 5+ years in System & Link Level Simulation or 10+ years telecom software exp with 5G L2 algorithms.

Responsibilities

• Perform systemization for features in Scheduler, Radio Physical Layer and RRM (Beam Forming, Massive MIMO, CA, DSS).
• Specify new 5G system features, requirements, test cases, algorithms and interactions with legacy features.
• Develop software simulations for performance analysis (link-level or network-level).
• Drive continuous improvements of products, simulation tools, and processes.
• Support system verification and analyze test results against operator KPIs.
• Assist deployment of new 5G/6G products into customer networks and troubleshoot configurations.
