Job summary

Hsdr Associates in Mumbai is seeking an Audit and Assurance professional to conduct statutory audits under the Companies Act 2013, draft working papers, and prepare CARO 2020 and ICFR reports.

You will review financial statements under IGAAP/IndAS, perform tax audits, and develop SOPs for clients while coordinating with management on audit observations and recommendations.

Candidates must have cleared IPCC/CA Inter, strong Excel skills, and reside near Central Line Mumbai or Thane locations.

Qualifications

• Thorough understanding of Standards on Auditing (SAs) issued by ICAI.
• Working knowledge of the Companies Act 2013, Schedule III, and CARO 2020.
• Good grasp of IGAAP (Accounting Standards) and exposure to IndAS.
• Familiarity with Income Tax Act provisions.
• Proficiency in MS Excel.

Role & responsibilities

Audit and Assurance

• Conduct statutory audits of companies under the Companies Act 2013, adhering to all Standards on Auditing (SAs) issued by ICAI
• Prepare and review audit working papers, lead schedules, and management representation letters
• Draft statutory audit reports including CARO 2020 report and ICFR report
• Prepare and/or review financial statements under IGAAP (AS) and IndAS as applicable
• Conduct tax audits and prepare Form 3CA/3CB/3CD under Section 44AB of the Income Tax Act
• Carry out internal audits and draft SOPs for assigned clients
• Coordinate with client management and report audit observations with actionable recommendations

Preferred candidate profile

• Thorough understanding of Standards on Auditing (SAs) issued by ICAI and their practical application
• Working knowledge of the Companies Act 2013, Schedule III, and CARO 2020
• Sound conceptual base in IGAAP (Accounting Standards) and exposure to IndAS preferred
• Familiarity with Income Tax Act provisions
• Proficiency in MS Excel
• Candidate Location - Central Line Mumbai / Thane Locations only.
