Job summary

AWS Data Services (India) Pvt. Ltd. (ADSIPL) Data Center Security Group seeks a skilled Security Systems Project Manager to lead the design, installation, and integration of security systems for ADSIPL data centers and co-locations in India.

You will partner with clusters and contractors to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery while advancing physical security programs. The ideal candidate will bring deep security technology knowledge, cross-functional leadership, and a track record delivering

Qualifications

  • 5+ years working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams.
  • 5+ years defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics.
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Communications Engineering or related field.
  • 10+ years of construction or project management, or 4+ years of electrical or mechanical engineering experience.
  • 10-12 years' experience managing projects, operations, installation, and maintenance of regional/global physical security systems.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Project Leadership: Spearhead physical security design and system installation for new data centers, expansions, and special projects.
  • Financial Management: Direct multi-million-dollar security project lifecycles including bid packages, specifications, drawings, code compliance, vendor management, budgeting, change orders, and documentation.
  • Technology Innovation: Apply knowledge of emerging physical security technologies to enhance the AWS physical security program.
  • Strategic Advisory: Provide Subject Matter Expert (SME) guidance to leadership for technology and procedural decisions.
  • Operational Excellence: Prioritize tasks effectively and operate seamlessly across organizational boundaries.
  • Maintenance Oversight: Execute and coordinate preventative maintenance and repairs for security system equipment.
  • Compliance Assurance: Ensure adherence to physical security standards, project scopes, budgets, and timelines.
  • Solution Development: Design and implement solutions for system installations, upgrades, repairs, and change management.
  • Quality Control: Support security system commissioning, testing, acceptance, and project handoff.

The Amazon Data Services (India) Pvt. Ltd. (ADSIPL) Data Center Security Group is seeking a highly talented and motivated Security Systems Project Manager to join our team. The team is responsible for the design, installation and integration of security systems equipment including, but not limited to, Access Control/Intrusion Detection and CCTV Surveillance systems.

You will also be responsible for the continuous review of existing standards and to stay abreast of developments in new technology that will enhance the physical security of ADSIPL data centers and co-locations. You will work directly with the Cluster Security Manager, the Infrastructure Operations and Construction teams, and other customers, both internal and external, to integrate the business' requirements into physical security systems design and implementation. Your work will include supporting the construction and deployment of physical security packages for all ADSIPL data centers and co-locations in the cluster. You will also work closely with contractors and vendors to ensure compliance with all security standards during the construction, testing and acceptance phases of the projects.

The ideal candidate for the role will have demonstrated the ability to work in all disciplines, at all levels; from technology research to system design and layout, oversight of construction and implementation, as well as maintenance and upgrades over the life of the system. You will have an in-depth knowledge of security technology, be innovative, highly organized, and will have demonstrated the ability to deliver results on time and within budget.

Basic Qualifications
  • 5+ years of working cross functionally with tech and non‑tech teams experience
  • 5+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Communications Engineering or a related field
  • 10+ years of construction or project management, or 4+ years of electrical or mechanical engineering experience
  • 10-12 years' experience managing projects, operations, installation, and maintenance of regional/global physical security systems
Preferred Qualifications
  • 5+ years of driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership experience
  • 3+ years of driving process improvements experience
  • Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization
  • PMP, Prince2, PgMP, SAFe or SCRUM/Agile certification
  • Experience managing contract security and physical security operation programs such as Access Control/Intrusion Detection and CCTV Surveillance systems
  • Certification in Lenel S2 and other equivalent Security System Platforms
