Job summary

NTT DATA BUSINESS SOLUTIONS in Mumbai seeks an experienced security engineer to fortify our infrastructure across on-prem and cloud platforms. You will lead complex security operations, incident response, DR planning, and risk mitigation with strong command of firewall, WAF, and virtualization tools.

The role requires 8+ years in security, hands-on Opswat knowledge, and proficiency with VMware vCloud Suite. Collaboration with global teams to strengthen security posture is essential.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in security domain and related technologies.
• Strong knowledge of firewall, load balancer, and common security issues including malware, viruses, ransomware, and host intrusion.
• Strong knowledge of network security components: RS, DAM, WAF, F5 LTM ASM.
• Awareness of anti-malware solution Opswat.
• Experience in Cloud Infrastructure and Virtualization (VMware vCloud Suite).

Responsibilities

• Third Level troubleshooting of security device issues.
• Risk analysis and mitigation planning.
• Planning and execution of DR drills based on availability of DR setup and recovery procedures.
• Independently manage and resolve escalated complex issues within SLA.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues as SME ensuring adherence to RCA process.
• Maintain and improve proactive performance and risk assessment for security solutions; disseminate feedback to security teams.
• Adhere to policies and procedures.
• Participate in change control boards and change processes.
• Provide Network Security support (Firewall, Load Balancer) and administration of WAF platform.
• Establish continuous process improvement cycles for policies, procedures and technology.

Requirements

• Actively participate in troubleshooting and resolving of complex issues as an SME ensuring adherence to RCA process
• Maintain and improve mechanisms for proactive performance and risk assessment through the security solution and disseminate feedback to other internal security team
• Adhere to all policies and procedures
• Service Improvement Plans Problem Management Meeting scheduling with OEMs
• Participate in change control board and/or change control process.
• Network Security support (Firewall, Load Balancer)
• Administration, capacity and upgrade of the WAF platform
• Establish continuous process improvement cycles where the process performance, activities, roles and responsibilities, policies, procedures and supporting technology is reviewed and enhanced where applicable.
• Keep networking devices firmware / OS up to date as per OEM recommended.
• Periodic complete architecture review
• SLA tracking with partners OEMs
• Quarterly rule base review to identify unused rules, risky rules and closure of the gaps identified
• Schedule and implement IPSEC VPN
• Participate in DR drill and provide necessary support
• Firewall rule review
• Track and maintain the policy deviations and exclusions in firewall policies.
• Virtualization and storage experience and knowledge including, VA assessment, Upgrade, VM provisioning, Storage Allocation/reclaim, upgrade etc.
