Job summary

Azilen Technologies is seeking a Security Infrastructure Engineer to build scalable AWS infrastructure, strengthen security controls, and automate workflows with Terraform and Spacelift. You will collaborate with Engineering and Security teams to improve observability and reliability across distributed systems.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of hands-on AWS and cloud security, strong IaC skills, experience with vulnerability management, and the ability to work independently.

Job description

We are looking for a highly skilled and automation-driven Security Infrastructure Engineer who is passionate about leveraging AI-powered tools to improve infrastructure reliability, observability, security, and operational excellence.

In this role, you will work closely with Engineering and Security teams to build scalable AWS infrastructure, strengthen security controls, improve production reliability, and automate operational workflows across distributed systems.

Who You Are

• You have 3+ years of hands-on experience in AWS infrastructure and cloud security.
• You have strong expertise in Terraform and Infrastructure as Code.
• You are experienced in troubleshooting cloud infrastructure, security issues, and deployment failures.
• You are comfortable working with security and vulnerability management tools.
• You are self-driven, detail-oriented, and able to work independently.
• You have strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
• You are comfortable collaborating with US-based teams and working with overlapping US Eastern hours.

What Will Excite Us

• Strong hands-on experience with AWS security services including WAF, GuardDuty, IAM, CloudWatch, S3, KMS, and Security Hub.
• Strong Terraform skills, including module development, state management, and debugging plan/apply failures.
• Experience with Spacelift or similar Infrastructure-as-Code orchestration platforms.
• Experience with cloud vulnerability management tools such as Wiz, Prisma Cloud, or AWS-native scanning.
• Experience working with GitHub, pull requests, code reviews, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience driving remediation of security vulnerabilities with Engineering teams.
• Strong understanding of cloud security, infrastructure reliability, and automation.
• Experience with compliance frameworks such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, or NIST 800-171.
• Ability to work independently and manage tasks without frequent supervision.
• Willingness to provide 3-4 hours of overlap with US Eastern working hours, approximately 6:30 PM-10:30 PM IST.
