Job Summary

Location: Mumbai, Gurgaon, Hyderabad, Bangalore, India

Job Type: Full Time

The Security Assurance Manager is responsible for providing independent quality control, operational adherence monitoring, process optimization, and regulatory compliance oversight across security operations. This role ensures that security service providers (SSPs) adhere strictly to corporate policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), contractual service level agreements (SLAs), and legal/statutory mandates. By conducting unannounced physical surveys, workflow evaluations, and comprehensive financial/operational audits, the Security Assurance Manager identifies vulnerabilities, eliminates shadow processes, mitigates liability, and delivers a leaner, more resilient operational model.

Operational Adherence & Quality Control
  • Act in an independent quality control capacity to verify that security service providers comply with approved policies, guidelines, SOPs, and contractual SLAs.
  • Execute unannounced physical site surveys, security personnel inspections, and conduct knowledge verifications/quizzes to assess operational adherence.
  • Audit and validate digital and physical data, registers, logbooks, site dashboard metrics, and monthly/quarterly business review inputs.
  • Inspect guarding site supervisory and officer performance to ensure alignment with corporate codes of conduct, internal policies, and Scope of Services specifications.
Operational Process Assessment & Workflow Optimization
  • Analyze current security workflows using direct observation, stakeholder interviews, and data analytics to evaluate design adequacy and operational effectiveness.
  • Identify workflow redundancies, gaps, friction points, and "shadow processes" that bypass official SOPs or impede business velocity.
  • Recommend process simplification and automation opportunities, benchmarking against industry maturity frameworks to foster a leaner, resilient model.
Regulatory & Statutory Compliance Assurance
  • Perform sample audits to assess security providers compliance with statutory requirements and labor laws (e.g., Contract Labour Act, PSARA).
  • Identify, report, and mitigate risk areas to protect the organization from potential "Principal Employer" statutory and regulatory liabilities.
  • Conduct financial compliance audits on supplier invoices and muster rolls to verify strict adherence to commercial terms and ensure SLA penalty applications are accurate.
Training Oversight & Competency Verification
  • Oversee the security provider training lifecycle, reviewing records to ensure legal compliance (e.g., PSARA verifications, background checks, onboarding).
  • Verify through sample audits that guard personnel are demonstrably competent in site post orders, SOPs, and emergency response protocols.
  • Evaluate training materials, delivery methods (theory, role play, practical exercises), and assessment rigor.
  • Conduct unannounced verbal and practical quizzes and micro-scenario tests for life safety and emergency readiness.
Audit Reporting & Special Audits
  • Compile, write, and submit detailed quality control, audit, and compliance reports according to agreed timelines and standards.
  • Cooperate with and support special audit rights and third-party auditors as required by corporate governance.
Qualifications & Prerequisites
  • Education: Bachelor s degree in Security Management, Business Administration, Law, Auditing, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • Certifications (Preferred): Certified Protection Professional (CPP), Physical Security Professional (PSP), Certified Quality Auditor (CQA), or ISO Lead Auditor certification.
  • Proven experience of 10 - 15 years in quality assurance, compliance auditing, or operational oversight within physical security operations.
  • Hands‑on experience auditing security vendors, guard forces, and third‑party contractors.
  • Background in analyzing workflows, identifying operational gaps, and conducting financial/muster roll audits.
  • Familiarity with regulatory frameworks, statutory labor laws (e.g., Contract Labour Regulation and Abolition Act, PSARA), and vendor compliance management.
  • In‑depth knowledge of physical security standards, site post orders, standard operating procedures, and guard lifecycle management.
  • Thorough understanding of local statutory laws, labor laws, licensing, and principal employer liability mitigation.
  • Solid understanding of quality assurance methodologies, audit sampling techniques, and SLA tracking mechanics.
  • Knowledge of physical security technology systems, data logging registers, and operational reporting tools
  • Auditing & Inspection: Expertise in conducting unannounced field audits, document verification, and operational compliance checks.
  • Workflow & Process Analysis: Capability to evaluate operational workflows, uncover shadow processes, and design streamlined alternatives.
  • Financial Auditing: Proficiency in comparing muster rolls, invoices, and SLA penalty applications against contractual terms.
  • Report Writing & Data Verification: Strong technical writing skills to produce high‑quality, error‑free audit reports and analytical summaries.
  • Objectivity & Independence: Maintains strict impartiality and analytical rigor
