Job summary

Oculusit in Gurgaon is seeking a Security Analyst to conduct security assessments across client environments, gather evidence for control effectiveness, respond to security events, and drive remediation efforts. You will design and implement security improvements tailored to each client's needs.

The ideal candidate has strong knowledge of security frameworks (NIST, CIS Controls, SOC 2), hands-on experience with SIEM/EDR tools, and excellent communication skills to interface with clients and team

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in a security analyst, cybersecurity, or IT security role.
• Experience with MSPs and multi-client environments.
• Understanding of security frameworks and controls (e.g., NIST, CIS Controls, SOC 2).
• Experience with log analysis, SIEM platforms, EDR tools, or vulnerability scanners.
• Experience in audits and reportings.
• Demonstrated ability to perform security investigations and document findings.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; comfortable interfacing with clients.
• Highly organized and capable of managing multiple tasks in a remote environment.
• Preferred: Security certifications such as Security+, CySA+, SSCP, CISM, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Security Assessments & Control VerificationPerform periodic and ad-hoc security assessments for multiple clients.
• Collect, validate, and organize evidence of security control implementation and effectiveness.
• Assist clients in meeting compliance requirements (e.g., GLBA, FERPA, HIPAA, PCI-DSS, etc.).
• Document assessment results and recommend remediation actions.
• Security Monitoring, Investigation & Incident ResponseInvestigate potential security incidents, perform root cause analysis, and determine scope and impact.
• Coordinate and implement incident response procedures with internal teams and client stakeholders.
• Escalate and manage high-severity incidents as needed.
• Security Remediation & ImprovementRecommend and implement security best practices, configurations, and policy updates.
• Collaborate with engineering and support teams to remediate vulnerabilities and misconfigurations.
• Stay current with emerging threats and help evolve client defenses accordingly.
• Contribute to playbooks, response templates, and knowledge base articles.

:As a Security Analyst, you will be responsible for conducting security assessments across multiple client environments, gathering and verifying evidence for control effectiveness, responding to security events, and leading remediation efforts. You will also play a key role in designing and implementing security improvements tailored to each client's needs. Qualifications:

• Required:4+ years of experience in a security analyst, cybersecurity, or IT security role or 3+ years of experience as an IT Administrator with demonstrated security abilities.
• Experience working with or supporting multiple clients (MSP experience strongly preferred).
• Understanding of common security frameworks and controls (e.g., NIST, CIS Controls, SOC 2).
• Experience with log analysis, SIEM platforms, EDR tools, or vulnerability scanners.
• Experience in Audits and reportings.
• Demonstrated ability to perform security investigations and document findings.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; comfortable interfacing with clients.
• Highly organized and capable of managing multiple tasks in a remote environment.
• Preferred:Security certifications such as Security+, CySA+, SSCP, CISM, or equivalent.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, M365 security configurations).
• Experience in IT and Security in a Higher Education environment.
• Knowledge of regulatory and compliance standards (GLBA, FERPA, HIPAA, PCI-DSS, etc.).
• Experience contributing to security policies and hardening guides. .
