Job summary

Smith+Nebhew in Pune is seeking a Security AI Manager to lead the security strategy for AI initiatives, ensuring AI solutions are secure, compliant, and aligned with enterprise risk management. You will own the AI security roadmap and partner with product, IT, engineering, data, legal, privacy, risk, and compliance to embed security across the AI lifecycle.

The role requires 5+ years in cyber security with 3+ years in people management, a bachelor’s in CS/engineering, and certifications like

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, information systems or equivalent experience.
• Current CISM, CISSP, CRISC, or equivalent certification preferred.
• 5+ years of proven experience in Cyber Security, Product Security, Application Security with 3+ years of people management.
• Experience with cloud technologies, data protection, and security controls.
• Ability to translate regulatory requirements into practical business solutions.

The Security AI Manager leads the security strategy for AI initiatives , ensuring AI solutions are secure, compliant, and aligned with enterprise risk management and governance standards. The role owns the AI security roadmap, partners with cross-functional stakeholders to embed security throughout the AI lifecycle, and drives risk mitigation, compliance, and continuous improvement across AI capabilities.

What will you be doing?

• Provide security guidance for AI platforms, products, vendors, and use cases.
• Partner with cross-functional teams across product, IT, engineering, data, legal, privacy, risk, and compliance to embed security across AI solutions with clearly defined requirements.
• Conduct AI security risk assessments and ensure appropriate controls are implemented.
• Monitor regulatory, compliance, and industry developments related to AI and cybersecurity.
• Support the AI security strategy, governance framework , and security standards.
• Own and manage the AI security roadmap , ensuring alignment with business priorities and emerging risks.
• Define and track security KPIs, risk metrics, and roadmap outcomes.
• Promote secure and responsible AI adoption through governance, education, and best practice.
• Communicate AI solution options, risks, trade-offs, adoption considerations, and recommendations clearly to senior stakeholders and delivery governance forums.

What will you need to be successful?

• Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Systems or equivalent experience.
• Licenses / Certifications : Current CISM, CISSP, CRISC, or equivalent certification preferred.
• Experience: Should have overall of 5+ years of proven experience and min of 3+ years of people management experience in Cyber Security , Product Security, Application Security.
• Domain Expertise:
  • Cybersecurity, information security governance, risk management, and compliance.
  • Understanding of AI, Machine Learning, Generative AI, and associated security risks.
  • Experience with cloud technologies, data protection, and security controls.
  • Ability to translate technical and regulatory requirements into practical business solutions.
  • Stakeholder management across business, technology, product, risk, and compliance functions.
• Agile / Digital Experience:
  • Experience working within Agile delivery environments and product-centric organizations.
  • Skilled at translating requirements into deliverable outcomes and prioritized roadmaps.
