Job summary

Hero MotoCorp, headquartered in New Delhi, India, seeks a Section Head - Final Inspection to lead the final inspection in Plant Operations. The role reports to the Plant Manufacturing Quality Head and requires steering 5S, safety, and TPM practices.

Qualifications

• Graduation or Diploma in Engineering is required.
• 8-10 years of manufacturing experience with 4-5 years in an automotive firm.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; proactive problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Inspect 100% of vehicles as per SOP and Acceptance Quality Level.
• Coordinate manpower line-wise to match productivity charts and test riders output.
• Ensure timely clearance of vehicles after final inspection and coordinate with Frame, PPC, OBL teams.
• Maintain 5S, safety and TPM culture in the department.
• Assist in carrying out external COPs.
• Conduct safety meetings and audits; routine maintenance of equipment and infrastructure.
• Arrange vehicles for inspection and monitor test rider issues for corrective actions.
• Provide counseling and training for continuous improvement.

A purpose driven role for you

Your responsibilities include but not limited to-

• Inspection of 100% vehicles as per defined SOP and Acceptance Quality Level.
• Defined manpower deployment Line wise-coordination for manpower availability as per defined productivity chart, test riders output monitoring
• Timely clearance of the vehicles after Final inspection. Coordination with the Shift wise counter parts Frame assembly/PPC/OBL for smooth vehicles clearance from Final inspection
• Maintaining 5s, Safety and TPM culture in Department
• Support in carrying out external COP’s

A Day in the life

You will be working on day-to-day basis on following-

• Maintaining discipline and consistent output of the Test riders
• Conducting Safety Meetings, Various Audits of the Department
• Carrying out regular maintenance of equipment’s and infrastructure
• Vehicles arrangements for inspection
• Monitoring Test riders’ wise issues and taking corrective actions
• Counselling and trainings for improvement

Academic Qualification & Experience

• Graduation/Diploma in Engineering
• Minimum 8-10 years of experience in manufacturing, and 4-5 years in an automotive firm
