Job summary

NHS Scotland is seeking an organized medical secretary to provide confidential, high quality secretarial and administrative support to the Medical Secretarial Team and hospital staff.

You will handle transcription of patient information using voice recognition systems, and contribute to a range of duties across the department. Knowledge of medical terminology and proficiency with Microsoft Word are advantageous, with strong keyboard skills essential.

You will be required to undertake a wide range of secretarial and administrative duties. You will transcribe confidential patient information using a voice recognition system, in conjunction with other hospital systems.

You should possess the appropriate secretarial/administration qualifications or equivalent/training experience. Knowledge of medical terminology and proficiency with Microsoft Word would be advantageous, as well as excellent keyboard skills.
