Job summary

Auriga IT is seeking a Software Engineer to develop and deploy APIs and Web applications using Django Rest Framework (DRF), Flask, or FastAPI to power a range of digital products. Qualifications

• 3+ years in web application and API development in Python.

• Knowledge of REST, SOAP APIs and API management/documentation (Swagger/OpenAPI).

Job Summary

Auriga is seeking a Software Engineer to develop and deploy APIs and Web applications using Django Rest Framework (DRF), Flask, or FastAPI to power a range of digital products. The role emphasizes creative thinking and architectural problem solving to deliver optimal technical solutions and high-performance user experiences.

Responsibilities

Technical skills

• Backend / APIs: 3+ years in web application and API development in Python
• Strong experience with MVC frameworks: Django/DRF, Flask
• Experience building API services from scratch (project structuring, environment setup, reusable components)
• Web services and APIs: REST, SOAP
• API management and documentation: Swagger/OpenAPI

Architecture / standards

• Collaborate with client architects/senior developers on high-level and low-level design/architecture
• Define and apply design, coding standards, patterns, and quality metrics

Concurrency / performance

• Experience with multithreading, collections, and concurrent APIs
• Proven ability to build high-performing applications, including profiling and performance tuning

Data / messaging

• Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases
• Experience with messaging technologies and asynchronous processing (Celery, RabbitMQ, Kafka)

Cloud / DevOps

• Experience with CI/CD systems (e.g., Jenkins)
• Containerization and orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes
• Knowledge of public cloud infrastructures: AWS, Azure, GCP
• Code configuration and release management

Programming fundamentals

• Excellent OOP, data structures, and algorithm knowledge

Frontend basics

• Knowledge of JavaScript, jQuery, HTML, CSS
• Experience with at least one frontend framework: Angular, React, or Vue

Testing / quality

• Unit and integration testing
• Experience writing high-quality code with automated unit tests (e.g., JUnit/Mockito or equivalent)

Tooling / environment

• Experience with Linux/Unix and shell scripting
• API testing tools: Postman (or similar)
• Version control: Git
• Create and maintain technical documentation and development best practices

Soft Skills

• Collaborate with business users to gather and refine functional requirements
• Translate complex business problems into end-to-end technical solutions
• Collaborate with client architects and senior developers for design and reviews
• Effective collaboration in agile, remote, distributed team environments
