Job summary

Mastercard Inc. is seeking a Full Stack Engineer (SDE-2) to join our engineering team in Mumbai. You will work across a Java/Spring Boot backend and a React frontend, building features end to end from design through deployment and monitoring on AWS.

You will collaborate with product and design to deliver reliable financial workflows, with a focus on correctness, scalability, and security. Expect to leverage AI coding agents while remaining accountable for what ships.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of professional software development experience.
• Strong experience with Java, Spring Boot, and REST API design.
• Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL, Redis, and Kafka in production systems.
• Proficiency with React.js and modern frontend practices.
• Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and system design.
• Familiarity with AWS services (EC2, RDS, S3, Lambda) and with Git and CI/CD workflows.
• Clear written and verbal communication and the ability to collaborate across teams.

We are looking for a Full Stack Engineer (SDE-2) to join our engineering team, working across a Java/Spring Boot backend and a React frontend. You will build and own product features end to end, from design discussion through to deployment and monitoring on AWS, in close collaboration with product and design. Our platform processes invoices, payments, and reconciliation for large enterprises, so correctness and reliability matter as much as delivery speed. A significant share of our code is authored with AI coding agents, and we expect engineers to use them well while remaining fully accountable for what ships.
