Job summary

Eloelo is hiring a Software Development Engineer - 1 (SDE-1) to build the backend for India's next 100M-user apps. This early-career role is a great entry point to write production-grade code, learn from engineers who have shipped at speed, and grow into end-to-end system ownership.

You will implement and maintain RESTful APIs, work with Java and occasionally GoLang/Python, and participate in design reviews and sprint planning to improve software quality and performance.

Qualifications

• Solid fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, and OOPs.
• Working knowledge of Java; exposure to GoLang or Python is a plus.
• Understanding of concurrency and multi-threading basics.
• Some hands-on experience (internship, projects, or 0-2 years) building and deploying applications.
• Familiarity with relational and/or NoSQL databases.
• Basic understanding of cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP) and REST API design.

What You'll Actually Do

• Write clean, efficient, well-tested code for features that go live in front of millions of users.

• Build and maintain RESTful APIs, contributing to both frontend-facing and backend-facing services.
• Debug, optimize, and fix issues across the stack - and learn to think about scale, not just correctness.

What You Bring
