Job summary

Travclan is seeking a Back-end Software Development Engineer I in Delhi to develop and maintain core back-end services. Candidates should have strong proficiency in Python (Django) or Node.js (Express) and experience with relational and NoSQL databases.

This role requires working long hours in a fast-paced environment, with a clear growth path and benefits including an annual CTC of ₹7 to ₹14 LPA plus ESOPs. Office presence is mandatory.

Role Overview

Back‑end Software Development Engineer I (SDE I) at TravClan is responsible for building and maintaining core back‑end services for the platform, including Lead Management System, Booking Management System, and Payment Gateway. You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams and product owners to translate business needs into technical solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable back‑end components using Python/Django or Node.js with PostgreSQL/MySQL.
• Integrate with relational and NoSQL databases (MongoDB) and handle caching with Redis.
• Develop services that interface with message queues such as RabbitMQ.
• Containerise applications using Docker and manage deployments.
• Collaborate with front‑end and product teams to define API contracts and deliver on specifications.
• Participate in code reviews, unit testing, and continuous integration pipelines.

Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in Python (Django) or Node.js (Express).
• Experience with relational databases (MySQL/PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB).
• Hands‑on experience with Redis, ElasticSearch, and RabbitMQ.
• Familiarity with Docker; Kubernetes, CI/CD (Jenkins) and Firebase are advantages.
• Experience building and shipping 2–3 back‑end applications independently.
• Ability to work long hours (10–12h per day) and 5 days a week from Delhi office.

Job Details

• Location: Connaught Place, Delhi.
• Work hours: 9:30 am until work is over (≈10–12 hours per day).
• Office‑based; travel to office required.
