Job summary

Our partner company in India seeks a Scrum Master to support technology teams in strengthening Agile practices and delivering work with greater consistency and predictability.

You will facilitate Scrum ceremonies, maintain delivery discipline, remove impediments, and help teams mature their Agile processes, with AI-assisted tooling to streamline preparation, documentation, and reporting.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience as a Scrum Master or in an Agile delivery role within a technology environment.
• Strong working knowledge of Scrum principles, ceremonies, roles, and Agile delivery practices.
• Hands-on experience facilitating sprint ceremonies and backlog management using Jira.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to keep teams aligned.
• Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or PSM I preferred.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives with time-boxed, outcome-focused ceremonies.
• Support team charters, kickoffs, working agreements, and delivery expectations for new or developing Agile teams.
• Document key decisions, action items, and commitments from Scrum ceremonies for sprint continuity.
• Coach and support teams new to Agile practices to apply Scrum effectively.
• Identify impediments early and coordinate escalation to prevent blockers from affecting commitments.
• Encourage open, constructive retrospectives and track improvement actions to completion.
• Maintain Jira boards, backlogs, sprint configurations, stories, and other delivery information.
• Monitor velocity, sprint completion, and impediments using Jira dashboards and reporting practices.
• Provide concise, accurate delivery updates to stakeholders based on completed work.
• Use AI-assisted tools to support ceremony prep, meeting notes, documentation, and status reporting.
• Promote transparency, accountability, continuous improvement, and collaboration across technology teams.
• Help teams build consistent delivery habits to improve predictability and reduce friction.

This is an opportunity to support technology teams in building stronger Agile practices and delivering work with greater consistency and predictability.
You will facilitate Scrum ceremonies, maintain delivery discipline, remove impediments, and ensure teams remain focused on meaningful outcomes.
The role is particularly suited to a Scrum Master who enjoys helping teams develop their Agile maturity and reducing process friction.
You will use Jira to maintain healthy backlogs, track sprint progress, and provide stakeholders with accurate and timely delivery visibility.
Your work will directly contribute to improving sprint predictability, resolving blockers, and creating sustainable delivery habits.
You will collaborate with technology teams and stakeholders in an environment that values continuous improvement, transparency, and effective communication.

Accountabilities

• Facilitate sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives, ensuring ceremonies remain structured, time-boxed, and focused on clear outcomes.
• Support team charters, kickoffs, working agreements, and delivery expectations for new or developing Agile teams.
• Document key decisions, action items, and commitments from Scrum ceremonies to ensure continuity between sprints.
• Coach and support teams that are still developing their Agile practices, helping them apply Scrum principles effectively in their day-to-day work.
• Identify impediments early, coordinate appropriate escalation, and follow through to help prevent blockers from affecting sprint commitments.

• Promote transparency, accountability, continuous improvement, and effective collaboration across technology teams.
• Help teams build consistent delivery habits that improve predictability and reduce day-to-day process friction.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience working as a Scrum Master or in an Agile delivery support role within a technology environment.
• Strong working knowledge of Scrum principles, ceremonies, roles, and Agile delivery practices.
• Hands-on experience facilitating or co-facilitating sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
• Practical experience using Jira for sprint tracking, story management, backlog administration, and basic dashboard configuration.
• Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to keep teams aligned and follow through on commitments.
• Proven ability to identify, manage, and elevate delivery impediments effectively.
• Comfortable supporting teams that are developing or strengthening their Agile practices, with the ability to adapt your approach as teams mature.
• Strong stakeholder-management skills and the ability to communicate delivery status clearly and concisely.
• Experience facilitating constructive retrospectives and translating feedback into actionable improvements.
• Ability to work collaboratively with Software Engineering, IT infrastructure, or enterprise technology teams.
• Scrum certification such as CSM, PSM I, or an equivalent qualification is preferred.
• Experience working within organizations with established Agile standards is an advantage.
• Familiarity with AI productivity tools or an interest in using automation to reduce repetitive administrative tasks is desirable.
• Strong problem-solving skills, initiative, and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced technology environment.
• Willingness to work 3:00 PM to 12:00 AM IST to support relevant team and business requirements.
