Agile Program Manager Responsibilities & Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of Jira and Microsoft Project (MPP) is a must.
- Working on practical SAFe and Agile implementation is a must.
- Experience managing multi‑location Agile teams and programs; coaching multiple scrum teams is a must.
- Experience driving Agile ceremonies, governance calls, and executive meetings with senior management and business stakeholders.
- Prepare and manage program‑level plans, budgets, and progress reports using Agile tools and techniques.
- Measure delivery and transformation performance using appropriate Agile metrics and frameworks.
- Escalation management and stakeholder alignment experience is a must.
- Perform risk management to identify, assess, and minimize delivery and organizational risks.
- Create and maintain comprehensive Agile transformation and program documentation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to coach teams and leaders effectively.
- Solid organizational and facilitation skills, including attention to detail and multi‑tasking capability.
- 7‑11 years of total experience with in‑depth knowledge of Scrum, Kanban, and scaled Agile frameworks (SAFe / LeSS).
- Strong experience in Agile transformation, maturity assessments, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Strong knowledge of Scrum management, sprint and release planning, and Agile delivery governance.
- Proven ability to coach Product Owners and leadership teams in Agile practices.
- Experience in driving organizational agility and improving team performance through coaching and facilitation.
- Very strong communication, influencing, and interpersonal skills.
- PMI‑ACP (Agile Certified Practitioner), Certified Scrum Master (CSM), or Scaled Agile (SAFe) certification is preferred.
- Hands‑on experience in Agile tools, Jira dashboards, and reporting is essential.
- Comfortable working with distributed teams across time zones.
- Ability to build trust and transparency across teams and stakeholders.
- Experience in Banking or Financial Services domain is highly preferred.
- Ability to identify process waste, remove impediments, and promote continuous improvement.
- Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills with focus on outcomes and delivery excellence.
