Key critical skills required for this role include:

  1. Experience in screening individuals and entities against sanctions lists, politically exposed persons databases, and adverse media sources.
  2. Strong understanding of financial crime risks, sanction regulations, and compliance frameworks to detect and mitigate potential threats.
  3. Familiarity with global regulatory requirements and risk management practices in financial crime prevention.
  4. Ability to review, assess and escalate potential matches, ensuring accuracy in screening processes and compliance with internal policies.

Purpose of the role

To support business areas with day-to-day processing, reviewing, reporting, trading, and issue resolution.

Accountabilities

  1. Support various business areas with day-to-day initiatives including processing, reviewing, reporting, trading, and issue resolution.
  2. Collaboration with teams across the bank to align and integrate operational processes.
  3. Identification of areas for improvement and providing recommendations in operational processes.
  4. Development and implementation of operational procedures and controls to mitigate risks and maintain operational efficiency.
  5. Development of reports and presentations on operational performance and communicate findings to internal senior stakeholders.
  6. Identification of industry trends and developments to implement best practices in banking operations.
  7. Participation in projects and initiatives to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness.
