Cactus Communications is seeking Copyediting Reviewers to work remotely on a contractual basis. You will review and refine manuscripts edited by colleagues to meet journal language and style requirements, ensuring accuracy and consistency across text, tables, figures, and supplements.
The role emphasizes in-depth language editing for scientific English, adherence to AMA style guides when possible, and providing actionable feedback for continued improvement.
We’re currently looking for Copyediting Reviewers on a work-from-home basis. This would be a contractual agreement, and renewable upon mutual consent. Work will be available regularly so that you can maintain a predictable schedule.
a. Critically assess the quality of edits performed by other editors to confirm alignment with journal expectations. Provide constructive feedback, flag inconsistencies or errors, and perform corrective edits where required to meet quality benchmarks.
b. Perform in-depth language editing to ensure manuscripts are written in clear, concise, and grammatically correct scientific English, while maintaining the original meaning and scientific accuracy intended by the author.
