Job summary

IFF, a global leader in flavors and fragrances, is seeking a motivated candidate for an on-site role in Mumbai. You will translate briefs into fragrance recommendations, coordinate samples and support partnerships with customers, distributors and prospects to drive growth.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree and at least 1 year of fragrance industry experience, with strong olfactive expertise and a customer-focused mindset. Fresh graduates may apply for the trainee pathway.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Chemistry, Fragrance, Cosmetic Science or related discipline.
• At least 1 year of fragrance industry and evaluation experience; fresh graduates may be considered for the trainee pathway.
• Excellent olfactive expertise and ability to complete an olfactory smelling test.
• Demonstrate customer focus, organisation, initiative, commercial awareness, digital confidence, and willingness to develop olfactive and application knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Drive growth for Scent Solutions by partnering with customers, prospects and distributors to identify fragrances matching product requirements, consumer preferences and commercial goals.
• Translate customer briefs into fragrance recommendations based on application, olfactive direction, performance and price.
• Coordinate samples, submissions and customer feedback with internal teams to ensure timely delivery from brief to order.
• Prepare fragrance presentations, demonstrations and workshops to communicate trends and product benefits.
• Support customers and distributors in using digital, self-service and AI tools for fragrance selection and follow-up.
• Prepare quotations and support pricing, sales, margin and cost-to-serve objectives with relevant teams.
• Capture customer, competitor and application insights while maintaining accurate project and opportunity records.
• Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Portfolio Management, fragrance specialists and Customer Service to resolve issues and strengthen customer support.
