Job summary

Genpact in Mumbai seeks a hands-on Scala/Spark developer to own data processing solutions across business domains. You will work with stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable architectures.

The role emphasizes performance optimization on HDFS-based pipelines, data analysis, and rigorous testing with BDD, SCRUM practices, and robust documentation.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on Scala/Spark development experience.
• Hands-on SQL writing on RDBMS (DB2).
• Experience with optimizing code for performance, scalability and configurability.
• Experience in at least 2 years in an HDFS platform development project.
• Strong data analysis, profiling, and lineage skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
