Job summary

Infosys is seeking a Scala/Akka Consultant to join its Bengaluru consulting team. You will lead engagements from problem definition through deployment, delivering high-quality, value-adding solutions for diverse clients.

The role requires strong Scala/Java skills, knowledge of Akka, and experience with build tools like Gradle and SBT, plus Docker/Kubernetes and Git. You will mentor teammates and contribute to organizational initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Lead engagement efforts across problem definition, diagnosis, solution design, development and deployment.
• Review proposals, provide guidance, and identify risks and issues in client solutions.
• Define change management requirements and propose structured client approaches using multiple communication channels.
• Coach team members, provide guidance, and contribute to unit-level and organizational initiatives.
• Deliver high-quality, value-adding consulting solutions in line with Infosys processes.

Primary skills:Technology->Functional Programming->Scala,Technology->Java->Apache Good Knowledge of Build Tools such as: Gradle & SBT in depth

• Basic knowledge of Docker & Kubernetes
• Experience on using GIT, resolving conflicts, working with branches
• Strong programming skills using data structures and algorithms
• Excellent analytical skills
• Good communication skills

A day in the life of an Infoscion

• As part of the Infosys consulting team, your primary role would be to lead the engagement effort of providing high-quality and value-adding consulting solutions to customers at different stages- from problem definition to diagnosis to solution design, development and deployment.
• You will review the proposals prepared by consultants, provide guidance, and analyze the solutions defined for the client business problems to identify any potential risks and issues.
• You will identify change Management requirements and propose a structured approach to client for managing the change using multiple communication mechanisms.
• You will also coach and create a vision for the team, provide subject matter training for your focus areas, motivate and inspire team members through effective and timely feedback and recognition for high performance.
• You would be a key contributor in unit-level and organizational initiatives with an objective of providing high-quality, value-adding consulting solutions to customers adhering to the guidelines and processes of the organization.
