Thales India seeks an experienced SAP ABAP technical lead based in Bengaluru to drive ABAP development across implementation, enhancements, and integrations for SAP UI5/Fiori and third‑party systems.

You will mentor ABAP developers, review specifications, and design scalable, secure solutions aligned with architecture and quality standards. 10+ years in SAP plus strong leadership and communication are essential.

• Higher education qualification: minimum bachelor's degree; a master's degree is preferred.
• At least 10 years of experience in SAP environments with ABAP leadership.
• Strong expertise in ABAP, RICEFW, OData, SAP Gateway, and backend integration.
• Good knowledge of SAP UI5/Fiori and frontend-backend integration concepts.
• Excellent communication skills with stakeholders and partners.

Responsabilidades

• Lead and coordinate SAP technical development across implementation, enhancement, upgrade, migration, integration, maintenance, and support activities.
• Provide technical leadership, guidance, and mentoring to ABAP developers and technical team members.
• Design scalable and maintainable SAP solutions in line with architecture, development, security, and quality standards.
• Lead ABAP RICEFW development covering Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms, and Workflows.
• Review functional and technical specifications, define technical approaches and solutions, provide estimates, and ensure delivery quality.
• Design, develop, and support OData services using SAP Gateway and ABAP for SAP UI5, Fiori, and third-party integrations.
• Coordinate with SAP UI5/Fiori teams to ensure effective backend integration, service consumption, and issue resolution.
• Conduct design reviews, code reviews, performance optimization, and adherence to SAP development standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and coordinate SAP technical development across implementation, enhancement, upgrade, migration, integration, maintenance, and support activities.
• Provide technical leadership, guidance, and mentoring to ABAP developers and technical team members.
• Design scalable and maintainable SAP solutions in line with architecture, development, security, and quality standards.
• Lead ABAP RICEFW development covering Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms, and Workflows.

• Design, develop, and support OData services using SAP Gateway and ABAP for SAP UI5, Fiori, and third-party integrations.
• Coordinate with SAP UI5/Fiori teams to ensure effective backend integration, service consumption, and issue resolution.
• Conduct design reviews, code reviews, performance optimization, and adherence to SAP development standards.

Required Skills:

• Higher education qualification: minimum bachelor's degree; a master's degree is preferred.
• At least 10 years of experience in SAP environments, with significant experience in ABAP technical leadership.
• Strong expertise in SAP ABAP, RICEFW, OData, SAP Gateway, and backend integration.
• Good knowledge of SAP UI5/Fiori and frontend-backend integration concepts.
• Demonstrated leadership, coordination, stakeholder management, and delivery ownership.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver under complex scenarios.
• Excellent communication skills with business, functional, technical, senior stakeholders, and partners.
• Knowledge of SAP S/4HANA, RAP, and BTP would be an advantage.
• Strong hands-on experience in SAP ABAP, ABAP Objects, debugging, performance tuning, and technical design.
• Extensive experience in ABAP RICEFW development and delivery.
• Strong knowledge of ABAP coding standards, technical specifications, code reviews, and performance optimization.
• Strong experience in OData services using SAP Gateway and ABAP, including modelling, CRUD operations, implementation, and troubleshooting.
• Experience integrating OData services with SAP UI5, Fiori, and third-party applications.
• Good knowledge of SAP UI5 concepts including MVC, data binding, OData consumption, and frontend-backend communication.
