Job summary

Alignity Solutions in HYDERABAD, BANGALORE, PUNE, CHENNAI seeks an experienced SAP Subscription Order Management (SOM) Consultant with 4+ years of hands-on SOM experience to support and implement subscription lifecycle processes.

The role focuses on configuring SOM contracts, orders, billing plans, pricing, and BI-CA integration, along with managing batch jobs and production support. Strong analytical and collaborative skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of hands-on SAP SOM experience.
• Strong functional and configuration experience across subscription contracts, subscription orders, billing plans, pricing, order lifecycle management, mass processing, and contract amendments.
• Experience troubleshooting SOM batch jobs and basic understanding of SAP CI integration touchpoints with SOM.

Responsibilities

• Configure and manage subscription contracts and subscription orders in SAP SOM.
• Manage end-to-end subscription order lifecycle: creation, changes, renewals, amendments, terminations.
• Configure and maintain billing plans, pricing conditions, and billing-related processes.
• Support business requirements related to subscription products, contracts, and order management.
• Analyze existing SOM configurations and recommend improvements based on business requirements.
• Execute and monitor mass activities, including invoicing and billing runs.
• Troubleshoot issues related to mass processing and billing execution.
• Coordinate with FI-CA and technical teams to resolve billing and payment processing issues.

Requirements

We are looking for an experienced SAP Subscription Order Management (SOM) Consultant with 4+ years of hands-on experience in SAP SOM implementation and/or support projects. The ideal candidate should have strong functional and configuration experience across subscription contracts, subscription orders, billing plans, pricing, order lifecycle management, mass processing, and contract amendments.

The consultant will work closely with business and technical teams to manage SAP SOM processes and integrations, particularly with SAP FI-CA for billing and payment processing. Experience troubleshooting SOM batch jobs and a basic understanding of SAP Customer Interaction Center (SAP CI) integration touchpoints with SOM will be an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities

SAP SOM Configuration & Management

• Configure and manage subscription contracts and subscription orders in SAP SOM.
  
• Manage end-to-end subscription order lifecycle processes , including creation, changes, renewals, amendments, and termination.
  
• Configure and maintain billing plans, pricing conditions, and billing-related processes .
  
• Support business requirements related to subscription products, contracts, and order management.

• Analyze processing errors and coordinate with relevant technical teams for resolution.
  
• Ensure billing processes are completed accurately and within defined business timelines.
  

Contract Management

• Manage contract amendments, modifications, renewals, and terminations .
  
• Support changes to subscription contracts throughout their lifecycle.
  
• Troubleshoot issues related to contract status, dates, pricing, billing, and order processing.
  

SAP FI-CA Integration

• Work with SAP FI-CA integration for billing and payment processing.
  
• Understand how SOM transactions flow into FI-CA.
  
• Troubleshoot integration-related issues between SOM and FI-CA.
  
• Coordinate with FI-CA and technical teams to resolve billing and payment processing issues.
  
• Validate end-to-end scenarios from subscription order creation through billing and payment processing.
  

Batch Jobs & Production Support

• Monitor and troubleshoot SAP SOM batch jobs and background processes .
  
• Analyze job failures, processing errors, and performance-related issues.
  
• Identify root causes and coordinate with technical teams when required.
  
• Provide production support and ensure timely resolution of SOM-related incidents.
  
• Prepare appropriate documentation for recurring issues and resolutions.
  

SAP CI Integration – Good to Have

• Basic understanding of SAP Customer Interaction (SAP CI) and its integration touchpoints with SAP SOM.
  
• Awareness of how customer, subscription, order, and billing-related information can flow between integrated SAP components.
  
• Ability to work with integration/technical teams during troubleshooting and testing.
