Job summary

NTT DATA BUSINESS SOLUTIONS in Pune seeks an experienced SAP S/4HANA PP/QM Lead to drive PP and QM workstreams in large transformation programs. You will own end-to-end solution design, delivery governance and successful adoption of SAP S/4HANA best practices across Plan-to-Produce and Quality-to-Release processes.

Candidates should deliver hands-on configuration for PP: Demand Management, MRP, BOMs, Routings, Work Centers and Production Orders; and QM: Inspection Planning, Types, Results, Usage

Qualifications

• Deep expertise in SAP PP (Discrete/Process) and SAP QM.
• Experience leading 23+ SAP S/4HANA transformation projects in a lead role.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing and quality management processes.
• S/4HANA manufacturing knowledge including MRP and production execution simplifications.

Job Title

SAP S/4HANA Transformation Production Planning / Quality Management Lead

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced SAP S/4HANA PP / QM Lead to lead Production Planning (PP) and Quality Management (QM) workstreams in large-scale SAP S/4HANA transformation projects. The role is responsible for end-to-end ownership of manufacturing and quality solution design, delivery governance, and successful adoption of SAP S/4HANA best practices. The PP / QM Lead will work closely with business stakeholders, solution architects, and cross-functional SAP teams to drive transformation across Plan-to-Produce and Quality-to-Release processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead S/4HANA PP / QM Workstream Leadership: Lead PP and QM workstreams in SAP S/4HANA transformation programs (Greenfield, Brownfield, or Selective Data Transition).


• Own end-to-end delivery of Plan-to-Produce, Production Execution, and Quality processes.


• Act as the primary escalation point for PP / QM-related topics.


• Drive solution design and hands-on configuration for SAP PP: Demand Management, MRP, BOMs, Routings, Work Centers, Capacity Planning, Production Orders.


• Drive solution design and hands-on configuration for SAP QM: Inspection Planning, Inspection Types, Results Recording, Usage Decisions, Quality Notifications.


• Ensure adoption of S/4HANA manufacturing and quality simplifications and innovations.


• Guide decisions on Discrete vs Process Manufacturing scenarios.


• Lead Fit-to-Standard (F2S) workshops and business process harmonization.


• Assess and manage custom code (RICEFW) impacts for PP / QM in S/4HANA.


• Lead manufacturing and quality master data conversion and validation activities.


• Coordinate closely with MM, WM/EWM, SD, PM, and FI/CO teams.


• Ensure seamless integration across Procure-to-Produce and Make-to-Deliver processes.


• Collaborate with technical teams (ABAP, CPI, interfaces) on enhancements and integrations.


• Lead unit testing, SIT, UAT, and defect resolution for PP / QM.


• Own cutover planning for production orders, batches, and inspection lots.


• Provide go-live and hypercare support, ensuring manufacturing stability.


• Ensure adherence to SAP Activate methodology, project standards, and documentation.


• Review and approve functional designs, configurations, and test artifacts.


• Mentor PP / QM consultants and support knowledge transfer.

Required Skills and Experience

• SAP PP / QM Expertise with 1012+ years of SAP experience with strong hands-on expertise in SAP PP (Discrete and/or Process Manufacturing) and SAP QM.


• At least 23 full-cycle SAP S/4HANA transformation projects in a Lead role.


• Strong understanding of manufacturing and quality management processes.


• S/4HANA Manufacturing Knowledge: Experience with S/4HANA MRP and production execution simplifications; QM integration with MM and PP; Batch Management, Serial Numbers, and Inspection Lot Processing.


• Exposure to Advanced Planning (PP/DS, IBP) is an advantage.


• Knowledge on LeanIX, Signavio for process flow preparation and discussion with business team, is an added advantage.


• Leadership Delivery Skills: Proven experience leading PP / QM delivery in large SAP programs.


• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.


• Experience working in global onshoreoffshore delivery models.

Preferred Qualifications

• SAP S/4HANA certification in PP or QM


• Experience with SAP Activate methodology


• Industry experience in Manufacturing, Automotive, Pharmaceuticals, Chemicals, or Consumer Goods


• Exposure to EWM, PM, or Advanced ATP is a plus
