JOB PURPOSE:

As the SAP S/4HANA Basis Engineer, you will be responsible to perform S/4HANA Brownfield Conversion and perform Migration of Netweaver applications, operations, and strategic planning of our SAP S/4HANA environment. You will Engineer Basis function and collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure the successful implementation, maintenance, and optimization of our S4/Hana systems.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Should be able to execute SUM DMO to do conversion of ECC to S/4HANA on RISE.
2. Should be able to perform Operating System / Database Migration of boundary applications to Cloud Hyperscaler.
3. Should be able to integrate S/4HANA and Netweaver applications with SAP BTP.
4. Your activities will be divided between daily Operational activities (e.g., daily health checks of SAP systems, database administration, client maintenance activities, performance tuning, applying Support Packages & kernel updates) and Project activities (e.g., installations, upgrades, and data migrations) and creating documentation and work instructions.
5. Strong HANA experience and BASIS tech skills in Net weaver concepts and products (ERP or S/4 HANA, BW, PI, FIORI, Solution Manager, BODS, BOBJ, Cloud Connector)
6. Should be able to carry out an audit of any SAP/HANA system to identify the bottlenecks and to do recommendations to improve the performance.
7. Design, develop and maintain scripts for automation and maintenance of DB Environments.
8. Collaborates effectively with peer engineers, developers to solve complex problems.
9. The candidate must be able to communicate clearly and with ease with all relevant stakeholders.
10. Strong Experience with HANA XS/Experience on SAP HANA Administration / Operations.
11. You should be familiar with SAP Solution Manager, Fiori, SSO, SLD, Web Dispatcher, Load Balancers, Firewalls etc.
12. Working knowledge of high availability and disaster recovery environments, as well as OS level clustering.
13. Experience in HANA HA and DR Setup.
14. You will ensure service availability 7 x 24, service quality for our support.
15. Ability to understand the long-term ("big picture") and short-term perspectives of situations.

KEY QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCES:

1. Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
2. Minimum 7+ years of SAP experience working across a range of SAP implementations, upgrade, conversion, and migration projects. Experience in SAP RISE/GROW is preferred.
3. Ability to manage multiple tasks, work in a team, multi-party/vendor environment, understand and be responsive to project and customer needs.
4. MUST have hands on experience on OS/DB Migration, Upgrades, Add-on Installations, HANA Scale-out environment and well versed with multi-tenant DBs.
5. Deep knowledge of System Architecture, HANA Technology including High Availability and Disaster Recovery. Backup and Recovery.
6. Experience on UX & Business Technology Platform (BTP) including Cloud Security and Architecture: Single Sign-ON, Infrastructure Security, HANA.
7. Experience in Solution Manager.
8. Infrastructure Knowledge: Working knowledge of various Operating systems esp. Linux, Windows, Sybase. Knowledge of Basic network architecture, Experience in SAP Sizing.
9. Experienced with typical support activities including preventive maintenance.
10. SAP Certification and Hyperscaler Certifications (AWS/GCP/Azure) is an added advantage.
11. Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
12. Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.
