Job summary

Solventum is seeking an experienced SAP Production Planning & Subcontracting Analyst to own production planning, subcontract planning, and supplier collaboration within our global SAP S/4HANA landscape. The role focuses on SAP PP/DS detailed scheduling and Ariba SCC collaboration to ensure smooth operations and continuous improvement.

The candidate will collaborate with global teams, support go-live, stabilization, and data standardization, and participate in new site activations and migrations

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
• 2+ years in SAP production planning, supply chain, or procurement in manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of SAP subcontracting including component provisioning and settlement.
• Hands-on with SAP PP/DS (or APO PP-DS) planning and scheduling.
• Experience deploying or supporting SAP S/4HANA in manufacturing, including cutover activities.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with root-cause tracing.
• Excellent cross-functional communication across regions and with suppliers.

Responsibilities

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Production Planning & Subcontracting Analyst to own and advance production planning, subcontract planning, and supplier collaboration capabilities within our global SAP S/4HANA landscape. With our multi-wave ERP deployment complete, the focus shifts to sustaining, standardizing, and continuously improving the solution — while supporting new deployment activity as standalone legacy applications are migrated onto the consolidated ERP.

The emphasis is production planning and detailed scheduling in SAP PP/DS, with secondary responsibility for subcontract planning and supplier collaboration through SAP Ariba Supply Chain Collaboration (SCC). The ideal candidate is equally comfortable sitting with a production planner to troubleshoot a planning heuristic and working with a subcontractor’s planner to resolve a purchase order confirmation in the Ariba network.

Key Responsibilities

Production Planning (primary)

• Serve as the business process and technical subject matter expert for the production planning and subcontract planning scope of the global Plan process.
• Provide functional expertise and day-to-day support for SAP PP/DS — planning heuristics, detailed scheduling, capacity leveling, MRP areas, planning strategies, and PP/DS-to-S/4 integration.
• Own planning-relevant master data standards (resources, routings/PDS, lot sizing, scheduling parameters, planning time fence) and drive data quality remediation with sites.
• Investigate and resolve planning defects, distinguishing master data issues, process adherence gaps, and true system defects.
• Support functional design that complements the technical capabilities of the system, including specification writing, configuration, and development testing.
• Support prepare, activate, and deploy activities for new sites, product transfers, acquisitions, and migrations of standalone legacy applications onto the consolidated ERP.
• Support go-live, hypercare, and stabilization, including on-site support where required.
• Partner with the supply planning and IBP teams to ensure clean handoff of demand into the production planning horizon.

Subcontracting (secondary)

• Support subcontract planning end to end: subcontracting requisitions and purchase orders, component provisioning and consumption, and third-party manufacturing visibility.
• Facilitate onboarding and enablement of new subcontractors onto the Ariba network, including supplier training and cutover coordination.

Cross-cutting

• Drive global standardization of planning processes and alignment to standard ERP functionality, resisting site-level divergence where a global template solution exists.
• Collaborate across planning, procurement, manufacturing, master data, and IT to keep business process and system design aligned.
• Support unit, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing.
• Maintain process documentation, work instructions, and training materials.
• Drive continuous improvement, including enhancement intake, prioritization, and benefit validation.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Information Systems, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of experience in SAP production planning, supply chain, or procurement in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong working knowledge of subcontracting in SAP, including component provisioning and settlement.
• Hands‑on functional experience with SAP PP/DS (or APO PP-DS) — planning runs, detailed scheduling, and exception management.
• Demonstrated experience deploying or supporting SAP S/4HANA in a manufacturing environment, including testing and cutover activities.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to trace an issue from a symptom on the plant floor to a root cause in configuration or master data.
• Excellent communication skills, working across functions, across regions, and directly with external supplier partners.

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands‑on experience with SAP Ariba Supply Chain Collaboration, including supplier enablement and collaboration document flows.
• Familiarity with integration technologies (CIG, CPI, EDI, or APIs) and the ability to read integration logs to isolate a failure point.
• Experience with SAP IBP, demand planning, or the demand-to-supply handoff.
• Experience migrating standalone or legacy planning applications onto a consolidated ERP platform.
• Experience supporting global deployments and multi‑region supplier networks.
