Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services in Chennai is seeking an experienced SAP Performance Testing Consultant to design, execute, and analyze performance tests for SAP S/4HANA and integrated SAP applications. You will ensure scalability, stability, and release readiness across SAP GUI, Fiori, API, and OData platforms.

The role requires 5+ years of testing experience, expertise in Tricentis NeoLoad, and strong collaboration with Basis, Infra, and Development teams in a global delivery setup.

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced SAP Performance Testing Consultant with strong expertise in Tricentis NeoLoad and SAP application performance testing. The candidate will be responsible for designing, executing, and analyzing performance tests for SAP S/4HANA and integrated SAP applications to ensure scalability, stability, and release readiness.

Key Responsibilities

Performance Test Planning

• Define performance testing strategy, scope, and workload models.
• Identify critical business processes for performance validation.
• Establish performance baselines and success criteria.
• Estimate performance testing effort and resource requirements.

NeoLoad Script Development

• Develop and maintain NeoLoad scripts for SAP GUI, SAP Fiori, Web, and API-based applications.
• Create reusable performance testing assets and frameworks.
• Parameterize scripts and implement correlation techniques.
• Support CI/CD integration of performance testing.

Performance Test Execution

• Execute Load, Stress, Volume, Scalability, and Soak Tests.
• Simulate concurrent user loads and peak business volumes.
• Validate system behavior under expected and unexpected workloads.
• Coordinate test execution across SAP and integrated systems.

Analysis & Optimization

• Analyze application, database, interface, and infrastructure performance bottlenecks.
• Review SAP performance logs and monitoring reports.
• Collaborate with Basis, Infrastructure, Network, and Application teams for tuning recommendations.
• Prepare performance test reports and executive summaries.

SAP S/4HANA Performance Validation

• Validate critical SAP business processes such as:
• Order-to-Cash (O2C)
• Procure-to-Pay (P2P)
• Warehouse & Inventory Processing
• Transportation Management (TM)
• Fiori Transactions
• Background Jobs and Interfaces
• Support ECC-to-S/4HANA migration and transformation programs.

Required Skills

Mandatory

• 5+ years of Performance Testing experience.
• Hands-on expertise in Tricentis NeoLoad.
• Strong understanding of SAP S/4HANA architecture.
• Experience with SAP Fiori, SAP GUI, APIs, and OData services.
• Knowledge of performance monitoring and bottleneck analysis.
• Experience in Load, Stress, Volume, Scalability, and Soak testing.
• Strong defect reporting and analytical skills.

Preferred

• SAP Basis performance tuning knowledge.
• Experience with Dynatrace, AppDynamics, or similar monitoring tools.
• Experience in Retail, Supply Chain, EWM, TM, or SAP integration landscapes.
• Exposure to CI/CD and DevOps pipelines.
• Knowledge of LoadRunner or JMeter is an added advantage.
• Performance engineering mindset.
• Root cause analysis and problem solving.
• Stakeholder and vendor coordination.
• Strong communication and reporting skills.
• Ability to work independently in global delivery environments.

Preferred for H&M S/4 Program

• Hands-on NeoLoad experience for SAP S/4HANA, EWM, TM, GTS, and Retail processes.
• Experience in establishing SAP performance testing practices and KPI-driven performance governance.
• Ability to support large-scale SAP transformation and release programs.
