IT Business Analyst III
We are seeking an experiencedIT Functional Analyst – SAP MM & Purchasing Support Team memberto join our IT support organization. This role will provide functional support, issue resolution, enhancement delivery, and continuous improvement across SAP Materials Management (MM) and Procurement processes to ensure stable and efficient business operations. The role involves troubleshooting incidents, fulfilling service requests, supporting business users, participating in testing activities, and assisting with system enhancements.

The successful candidate will work closely with Procurement, Supply Chain, Production Planning, Warehouse, Master Data, and IT teams to provide functional support for purchasing, inventory management, materials planning, and related operational processes.

The role also requires Hands on experience (implementation / support) with Coupa for purchasing activities focus on integration with SAP and AI-ready automation-minded professional who can help identify practical opportunities to improve support productivity through knowledge management, ticket analysis, documentation, testing support, process standardization, and responsible use of approved AI tools

Key Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on functional support for SAP MM and Purchasing processes, including incident resolution, service request fulfilment, root-cause analysis, testing support, user assistance, and coordination with business and IT teams to keep procurement, inventory, and materials planning operations running smoothly.
• Support SAP ECC MM processes, including purchasing, inventory management, material master integration, source determination, stock movements, and integration with PP, SD, LE, QM, and relevant logistics processes.
• Strong understanding of the Procure-to-Pay cycle, including purchase requisitions, purchase orders, goods receipt, supplier confirmations, returns, subcontracting, consignment, and procurement-related issue resolution.
• Knowledge of inventory management, stock transfers, reservations, physical inventory, batch/serial relevance where applicable, and material availability impacts on production and supply chain operations.
• Good understanding of SAP MM integration with PP, SD, LE, QM, warehouse/logistics execution, master data, and supplier collaboration processes.
• Experience in following tools like, COUPA, Ariba, Readsoft , OCR (Brainware) will be an added advantage.
• Experienced in business process and gap analysis with Extensive hands-on functional design and configuration experience, including detailed specifications for user exits, utilities, interfaces, reports, etc.
• Experience to define and enhance system interfaces of various types to integrate with supplier and logistics partners using IDOC/RFC/EDI/XML/API
• Results oriented, highly motivated and able to work under minimal supervision in a cross-functional environment at detailed levels whilst taking account of interdependencies at higher levels.
• Strong and outstanding written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills to all levels of an organization and ability to operate in different time zones
• Perform root-cause analysis for recurring issues and recommend sustainable fixes, process improvements, monitoring opportunities, or automation candidates.
• Translate business needs into functional requirements, solution designs, configuration documentation, test scenarios, process flows, and support materials.
• Support configuration analysis, unit testing, integration testing, regression testing, user acceptance testing, deployment validation, and post-implementation support.
• Collaborate with ABAP developers, SAP security, Basis, middleware, integration teams, service desk, external vendors, and business users to resolve issues and deliver changes.
• Participate in support governance activities, including ticket reviews, backlog management, prioritization, release planning, change coordination, and production deployment support.
• Facilitate working sessions, requirement reviews, testing checkpoints, defect triage, and status discussions with business and IT stakeholders.
• Create clear meeting notes, decisions, action items, knowledge articles, support playbooks, and handover documentation to strengthen support continuity.

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in SAP MM and Purchasing support.
• Strong hands-on experience in SAP MM, Purchasing, and integration with Production Planning, with specific knowledge of:
• Purchase Requisitions (PR)
• Request for Quotation (RFQ)
• Source Determination
• Purchase Orders (PO)
• Contracts and Scheduling Agreements
• Goods Receipt (GR) and Goods Issue (GI)
• Procurement document flow, goods receipt follow-up, supplier returns, and invoice block resolution support
• Vendor Master and Material Master Management
• Stock Transfers and Inventory Management
• Physical Inventory and Cycle Counting
• Material requirements planning support, planned order/purchase requisition integration, and production supply alignment
• Procure-to-Pay process support with emphasis on MM, purchasing, inventory, and production planning integration
• Experience supporting production SAP MM operations, including incident management, service request fulfillment, enhancements, testing, deployment, and hypercare.
• Ability to write clear functional specifications, configuration documentation, test scripts, knowledge articles, process documentation, and support playbooks.
• Ability to collaborate with both business stakeholders and technical teams to define solutions, clarify requirements, and resolve issues.
• Experience supporting global teams and working across multiple time zones.
• Strong communication skills, including the ability to explain SAP MM concepts, solution options, trade-offs, risks, and impacts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to go beyond assigned tasks to help the team deliver successful outcomes.
• Working knowledge of ServiceNow or similar ITSM platforms, including incident, service request, change, problem, and knowledge management processes.
