Job summary

MNC is seeking an experienced SAP MDG Technical Consultant to design, develop and implement MDG solutions across multiple locations in India. The role requires hands-on expertise in SAP MDG, ABAP and S/4HANA, with emphasis on technical development, customization and integration.

Key responsibilities include configuring MDG data, UI and process models, building MDG components with Web Dynpro ABAP, BRF+, BAdIs and BAPIs, and ensuring robust data validation and workflow rules for MDG change

Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced SAP MDG Technical Consultant with strong hands-on expertise in SAP MDG, SAP ABAP and S/4HANA. The candidate should have experience in technical development, customization and implementation of SAP MDG solutions, including Web Dynpro, BRF+, BAdIs, BAPIs, workflow, validations and derivations.

The consultant will work closely with functional teams and business stakeholders to design, develop, enhance and support SAP MDG solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop and implement SAP MDG technical solutions for Master Data Governance.
• Work on SAP MDG Data Model, UI Model and Process Model enhancements.
• Develop and enhance MDG applications using SAP ABAP / OO ABAP.
• Develop and customize Web Dynpro ABAP and MDG UI components.
• Implement business rules, validations and derivations using BRF+.
• Develop and implement BAdIs, enhancement spots, user exits and custom methods.
• Work with BAPIs, RFCs and Function Modules for master data processing and integration.
• Design, configure and enhance SAP Workflow / Rule-Based Workflow for MDG Change Requests.
• Implement technical solutions for data validation, derivation and enrichment.
• Work on MDG Change Request Types, Workflow Steps and Business Activities.
• Develop custom technical objects, reports, classes, interfaces and APIs as required.
• Work on MDG Data Replication Framework (DRF) and integration with SAP/non-SAP systems.
• Support integration using IDocs, ALE, Web Services, RFC/BAPI and APIs.
• Work on SAP MDG implementations and enhancements integrated with SAP S/4HANA.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to MDG workflows, validations, UI and integrations.
• Perform debugging and root-cause analysis using ABAP debugging techniques.
• Support SIT, UAT, Go-Live and post-production support activities.
• Prepare technical specifications and development documentation.
• Coordinate with functional consultants, business users, Basis and integration teams.
