Job summary

Be a Catalyst is seeking an SAP MDG specialist to lead governance and configuration across multiple domains. The role involves customizing the MDG data model, UI configuration with FPM, BRF+ rule development, and ensuring data quality across material, vendor, customer, and finance objects.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting, supporting cutover activities, and maintaining runbooks. Experience in Level 3/4 support and SAP MDG for Finance is advantageous for this senior position.

Qualifications

• Hands-on SAP MDG configuration across at least two domains such as Material, Vendor, or Customer.
• UI configuration experience through FPM.
• BRF+ rule build for derivation, validation, and workflow routing.
• Data Replication Framework (DRF) and SLT experience.
• ABAP debugging to trace governance or replication issues.
• Experience in Level 3/4 application support.
• MDG for Finance experience is a plus.
• Central governance across hybrid landscapes and data quality remediation.

Responsibilities

• To keep master data correct at creation and distribute downstream to prevent downstream errors.
• Customise the MDG data model, including entity types, attributes, and UI configuration.
• Configure governance workflows for create, change, and block processes.
• Report on data quality measures and rejection rates to governance forums.
• Support mass load, data quality remediation, and cleansing with data owners.
• Support cutover and hypercare when a new domain is brought under governance.
• Resolve distribution failures at root cause and perform reprocessing as needed.
• Maintain data model documentation, rule catalogues, and runbooks.

Job description

• To keep master data correct at the point of creation and correctly distributed downstream, so errors are prevented rather than corrected later.
• Customise the MDG data model, including entity types, attributes, and UI configuration
• Configure governance workflows for create, change, and block processes across the domains in scope
• Build and maintain BRF+ rules for derivation, validation, and workflow routing
• Configure data replication through DRF and SLT
• Resolve distribution failures at root cause
• Configure duplicate checks, matching, and consolidation rules
• Resolve complex master data defects across material, vendor, customer, and finance objects
• Support mass load, data quality remediation, and cleansing activity with data owners
• Support cutover and hypercare when a new domain or entity is brought under governance
• Report on data quality measures and rejection rates to the governance forum
• Maintain data model documentation, rule catalogues, and runbooks
