Job summary

NTT DATA is seeking a SAP HCM Testing professional to join our Hyderabad team. You will design and execute test strategies for Time Management and Payroll, covering PCRs, schema changes, and custom ABAP reports.

• Demonstrated experience testing complex custom PCRs, schema modifications, and time/payroll rule changes.
• Experience testing custom ABAP reports and objects within an SAP HCM landscape.
• Hands‑on experience with test automation tools for SAP (TOSCA or similar); ability to build and maintain automated test scripts independently.
• Solid understanding of retroactive payroll processing and its testing implications.
• Experience executing SIT cycles and supporting UAT, including defect management and retesting.
• Strong understanding of SAP HCM‑standard testing terminology (e.g., Positive Functional Test, Retroactive Accounting Check, Personnel Subgroup Variant).
• Excellent communication skills, with ability to work directly with functional, technical, and business teams.

Responsibilities

• Test Planning & Strategy: Design and execute test strategies for SAP HCM Time Management and Payroll, covering complex PCRs, schema modifications, and ABAP reports/objects.
• Functional Testing: Build and execute test scenarios for time evaluation and payroll changes, validating against business rules and agreements.
• Regression Testing: Own regression test coverage for payroll and time processes amid configuration/development changes.
• Automation Testing: Design, build, and maintain automated test scripts (e.g., using TOSCA) for SAP HCM time/payroll transactions.
• Defect Management: Log, triage, and track defects with ABAP/functional teams to validate fixes.
• Test Data Management: Prepare and manage test data for complex retroactive and time/payroll scenarios.
• SIT/UAT Support: Execute SIT and support UAT cycles with stakeholders for sign-off.
• Documentation: Maintain test scripts, result logs, and traceability matrices.

We are currently seeking a SAP HCM Testing to join our team in Hyderabad, Telangana (IN-TG), India (IN).

• Test Planning & Strategy: Design and execute test strategies for SAP HCM Time Management and Payroll, covering complex custom Personnel Calculation Rules (PCRs), schema modifications, and custom ABAP reports/objects.
• Functional Testing: Build and execute test scenarios for time evaluation (RPTIME00), quota processing (RPTQTA00), retroactive payroll accounting, and payroll schema/PCR changes, validating results against business rules and collective agreement requirements.
• Regression Testing: Own regression test coverage for payroll and time processes impacted by ongoing configuration/development changes, ensuring existing custom rules and reports are not broken by new builds.
• Automation Testing: Design, build, and maintain automated test scripts (e.g., using TOSCA or equivalent tools) for SAP HCM time/payroll transactions, reducing manual testing effort and enabling faster regression cycles.
• Defect Management: Log, triage, and track defects through resolution; work closely with functional and ABAP development teams to validate fixes and retest.
• Test Data Management: Prepare and manage test data sets for complex retroactive and time/payroll scenarios, including multiple payroll areas and personnel subgroups.
• SIT/UAT Support: Execute System Integration Testing (SIT) and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) cycles, coordinating with business and technical stakeholders on sign-off.
• Documentation: Maintain test scripts, test result logs, and traceability matrices linking test cases to functional/technical requirements.

Qualifications

Must Have Skills/Project Experience/Certifications:

• 6–10 years of hands‑on experience in SAP HCM testing, with strong exposure to Time Management and Payroll modules.
• Demonstrated experience testing complex custom PCRs, schema modifications, and time/payroll rule changes.
• Experience testing custom ABAP reports and objects within an SAP HCM landscape.
• Hands‑on experience with test automation tools for SAP (TOSCA or similar); ability to build and maintain automated test scripts independently.
• Solid understanding of retroactive payroll processing and its testing implications.
• Experience executing SIT cycles and supporting UAT, including defect management and retesting.

• Familiarity with collective agreement–driven configuration testing (union/non‑union employee groups).
• SAP HCM functional certification.

Education:

• BE/B.Tech/M.C.A./M.Sc (CS) degree or equivalent from an accredited university.
