Job summary

Manav Sansadhan Vikas Salaahkar is seeking a mid-senior SAP testing consultant to reinforce a multi-module SAP release program. You will blend SAP functional testing expertise with JavaScript-based automation to improve release quality and regression coverage in a matrixed delivery environment.

Responsibilities include validating configurations, creating FSDs, and delivering end-to-end test assets, with collaboration across ABAP, QA, product, and client teams.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Analyse customer business processes, translate requirements into complete functional test scenarios and traceable test conditions.
• Participate in SAP implementation, enhancement, rollout, migration, support, and stabilization activities across functional modules and integration points.
• Prepare, review, and maintain FSDs, process flows, test data needs, acceptance criteria and functional validation evidence.
• Validate SAP configurations against business requirements, controls, integration behavior, and end-to-end outcomes.
• Design and execute Functional, System Integration, UAT, Regression, Smoke, and End-to-End testing for SAP releases.
• Develop, customize, debug, and maintain automated SAP test scripts using JavaScript-based automation frameworks and reusable components.
• Convert stable manual test cases into automated tests preserving business intent and traceability.
• Maintain regression suites, test data, execution schedules, and evidence for release decisions.
• Collaborate with business users, ABAP developers, QA, automation specialists, product teams, and project managers.
• Assess cross-functional SAP dependencies and validate interfaces, data flows, and downstream impacts.

This full-time role supports a mid-sized enterprise SaaS product organization advancing AI-powered, codeless digital assurance for banking and retail clients.

The consultant will combine SAP functional expertise, structured testing discipline, and JavaScript-based automation to improve release quality and regression coverage.

The position is suited to a mid-senior professional with 510 years of directly relevant SAP consulting, testing, or automation experience.

The role works within a matrixed delivery model and coordinates directly with product, engineering, quality, business, and client-facing stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyse customer business processes, clarify requirements, and translate approved requirements into complete functional test scenarios and traceable test conditions.
• Participate in SAP implementation, enhancement, rollout, migration, support, and stabilization activities across relevant functional modules and integration points.
• Prepare, review, and maintain Functional Specification Documents, process flows, test data requirements, acceptance criteria, and functional validation evidence.
• Validate SAP configurations against approved business requirements, expected controls, integration behaviour, and end-to-end process outcomes.
• Design and execute Functional, System Integration, User Acceptance, Regression, Smoke, and End-to-End testing for SAP releases.
• Develop, customize, debug, and maintain automated SAP test scripts using JavaScript-based automation frameworks and reusable automation components.
• Convert stable manual test cases into maintainable automated tests while preserving business intent, expected results, and traceability.
• Maintain reliable regression suites, reusable test assets, test data, execution schedules, and evidence required for release decisions.
• Identify, document, prioritize, and track defects with clear reproduction steps, business impact, supporting evidence, and expected resolution criteria.
• Collaborate with business users, ABAP developers, QA engineers, automation specialists, product teams, and project managers throughout delivery.
• Assess cross-functional SAP dependencies and validate interfaces, data flows, process hand-offs, and downstream business impacts.
• Support test planning, estimation, readiness reviews, execution reporting, defect triage, go-live preparation, and post-production validation.
• Apply coding, review, version-control, and maintainability practices to automation scripts, utilities, test data, and supporting documentation.
• Communicate testing risks, coverage gaps, quality trends, blockers, and release recommendations accurately to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Systems, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
• Demonstrable SAP functional knowledge supported by hands‑on project delivery, configuration validation, testing, and business‑process understanding.
• Strong JavaScript proficiency, preferably ES6+, for developing, updating, troubleshooting, and maintaining automation scripts.
• No mandatory certification is specified; relevant SAP, testing, or automation certification will be considered value-adding.

Required Experience

• 510 years of relevant experience in SAP functional consulting, SAP testing, SAP quality assurance, and/or SAP test automation roles.
• Hands‑on experience in at least one SAP implementation project before, or alongside, transition into testing and automation responsibilities.
• Practical ownership of Functional, SIT, UAT, Regression, Smoke, and End-to-End testing in structured project environments.
• Experience gathering business requirements, validating SAP configuration, preparing FSDs, supporting go‑live, and coordinating defect resolution.
• Experience maintaining automation scripts and regression suites for business‑critical SAP processes and integrated enterprise workflows.

Relevant experience means directly applicable, hands‑on work aligned to SAP functional delivery, testing, or automation responsibilities described above.

Technical and Functional Skills

• SAP functional testing across SIT, UAT, regression, smoke, functional, and end-to-end test cycles.
• SAP implementation lifecycle knowledge, including requirement gathering, configuration validation, FSD preparation, testing, cutover, and go‑live support.
• JavaScript ES6+ programming for automation scripts, reusable functions, validations, debugging, and framework maintenance.
