Job summary

Careernet is seeking a SAP FIORI Developer in Chennai to drive UI5-based applications end-to-end from design to deployment.

You will work on SAPUI5 MVC architecture, ODATA services and ABAP integration, with a focus on security, roles, and scalable UI components in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must have strong SAPUI5 and MVC architecture knowledge.
• Proficient in Web technology and UI5 controls.
• Experience with ABAP basics including DDIC objects and function modules.
• Familiar with ODATA services creation and consumption.
• Understanding of roles and authorizations for Fiori Apps.
• Experience debugging UI5 end-to-end from UI5 to ABAP.

Responsibilities

• Act as technical expert and resolve application issues quickly.
• Develop plans and estimates for build, test and implementation.
• Translate business requirements into technical specs to code and debug.
• Develop, document and execute unit and integration tests.
• Perform performance tuning for SAP integration.
• Mentor junior developers and provide consulting on initiatives.

• Good knowledge of Fiori roles and authorization
• Good experience in UI5 developments and debugging
• Good experience in UI5 extensions
• Good experience in using UI5 controls, Views, Navigation properties etc.
• Good experience in Catalog and tile configurations.
• Good experience in debugging end to end application, from UI5 to ABAP
• Sound knowledge and experience in Object oriented programing

Role descriptions / Expectations from the Role

1. Act as the technical expert, ensuring quick turnaround in identifying application issues and providing timely solutions.
2. Develop detailed plans and accurate estimates for completion of build, system testing and implementation phases of project.
3. Transform business function requirements into technical program specs to code, test and debug programs.
4. Develop code, document and execute unit tests, systems, integration and acceptance tests and testing tools for functions of high complexity.
5. Perform performance tuning to improve performance over multiple functions
6. Engage other technical team members in the design, delivery, and deployment of solutions.
7. Ensure integration system activities including monitoring the technical architecture (particularly scalability, availability and archiving) meet all SLAs.
8. Manage operational support, performing work during change windows as well as providing on call support as required by the team.
9. Undertake performance-tuning activities for SAP integration activities.
10. Mentor and coach junior developers/consultants if required.
11. Provide consulting services on new and existing initiatives.
