Job summary

Metro Global Solution Center (MGSC) in Pune, India, is seeking a Solution Expert – Finance & Accounts to join our team supporting critical SAP and non-SAP financial applications. You will bridge business needs with IT delivery, ensure stable operations, and drive continuous improvement across multi-country services.

The role focuses on application management, operational excellence, and process optimization in a complex international environment, requiring strong Finance & Accounting knowledge

Metro Global Solution Center (MGSC) is internal solution partner for METRO, a €31.6 Billion international wholesaler with operations in more than 30 countries. The store network comprises a total of 623 stores in 21 countries, of which 522 offer out-of-store delivery (OOS), and 94 dedicated depots. In 12 countries, METRO runs only the delivery business by its delivery companies (Food Service Distribution, FSD).

HoReCa and Traders are core customer groups of METRO. The HoReCa section includes hotels, restaurants, catering companies as well as bars, cafés and canteen operators. The Traders section includes small grocery stores and kiosks. The majority of all customer groups are small and medium-sized enterprises as well as sole traders. About the Role

We are looking for a Solution Expert – Finance & Accounts to join our team supporting business-critical solutions within Finance & Accounting and related business areas.

In this role, you will act as the bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring stable operations, continuous improvement, and the successful evolution of business applications. You will play a key role in understanding business needs, translating them into solution designs, supporting day-to-day operations, and contributing to transformation and optimization initiatives across SAP and non-SAP solutions.

The position is primarily focused on application management, operational excellence, and continuous improvement in a complex international environment.

Key Responsibilities
