Job summary

Signify is deploying a global S/4HANA solution and establishing an AMS organization to support EWM and related SCM processes. The SAP EWM Functional Engineer will optimize EWM, resolve incidents, and ensure stable, compliant warehouse operations.

The role requires hands-on EWM experience, knowledge of integration with MM/SD/PP, and strong problem-solving and communication skills. Collaboration with global teams is key.

Qualifications

• Significant hands-on experience in SAP EWM implementation and/or support.
• Strong understanding of EWM processes including Deconsolidation, Kitting, Shipping Cockpit, and RF entry.

Responsibilities

• Support SAP EWM solutions aligned to the global template for S/4HANA deployments.
• Provide end-to-end functional support in AMS, including incident management and root cause analysis.
• Collaborate with global teams, stakeholders and cross-functional units to ensure stable warehouse operations.
• Monitor system performance and support critical warehouse cycles such as peak seasons and year-end closes.

SAP EWM Functional Engineer

Location: Bangalore

Signify is amid the design, build and deployment of a global greenfield S/4HANA solution. To support the deployment and ensure stable operations and continuous optimization, we are establishing a global application maintenance organization.

The SAP EWM Functional Engineer is responsible for supporting the S/4 HANA deployments and specifically driving the optimization of SAP Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) and broader SCM solutions in a post go-live application maintenance environment. Collaborates within a global team and works closely with business stakeholders, partners and cross-functional teams to ensure stable, compliant and efficient digital warehouse operations. The role focuses on functional support, EWM issue resolution, system stability and operational effectiveness.

Key Areas of Responsibility

• Support Warehouse Management and Supply Chain Business Process Owners, key users and project teams in maintaining SAP EWM solutions aligned to the global template and deploying the global S/4 HANA implementation on a local level.
• Provide expert functional support across core EWM processes including Inbound/Outbound Processing, RF Framework, Warehouse Task/Order management, Internal Warehouse Movements, Physical Inventory, and Yard Management.
• Manage specialized EWM functions such as Slotting, Wave Management, and Production Integration.
• Provide end-to-end functional support in an AMS environment including incident management, service requests, defect resolution and root cause analysis in line with agreed service levels.
• Conduct impact analysis and testing to support quality delivery of warehouse-specific changes and enhancements.
• Support EWM processes with strong integration across Sales, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Reporting domains.
• Monitor warehouse system performance, operational issues and user feedback to ensure stable and efficient day-to-day warehouse operations.
• Support critical warehouse cycles including peak season fulfilment, inventory counting, and year-end close, ensuring continuity and timely issue resolution.
• Provide user support, functional guidance and knowledge sharing to enable consistent adoption of EWM best practices.

Critical Experiences and Skills

• Bachelors or Masters degree preferably in Engineering, Information Technology, Supply Chain Management or a related field.
• Significant hands‑on experience in SAP EWM (Extended Warehouse Management) implementation and/or support.
• Strong functional understanding of EWM-specific processes including Deconsolidation, Kitting, Shipping Cockpit, and Mobile Data Entry (RF).
• Experience working in a global application maintenance support or production support environment including stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration.
• Experience in EWM system enhancements, incident resolution, problem management, testing and delivery of supportable business solutions.
• Experience supporting critical warehouse operations including period‑end inventory reconciliations.
• Good understanding of integration points with adjacent business domains and SAP modules (MM, SD, PP, FI).
• Good understanding of Agile / Scrum ways of working and service management practices.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
• SAP certification in EWM is highly advantageous.
• Ability to work effectively in a global, complex and highly integrated business environment.
