Job summary

EY Global Delivery Services in India invites a Senior Consultant to join our SAP EHSM practice within S/4HANA. You’ll lead and deliver EHS/EHSM implementations, focusing on incidents, risk assessments, and change management, collaborating with clients across domains.

You’ll work in a hybrid/onsite setting with cross-functional teams, contribute to solution design, configuration, testing and deployment, and help EY maintain its standard of quality and client service.

Qualifications

• 4–6 years of SAP EHSM or Workplace Safety experience.
• At least one complete EHS/EHSM implementation project.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• Strong analytical, communication and client-facing skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end SAP EHSM/EHS workstreams across requirements, design, config, testing and deployment.
• Facilitate workshops with stakeholders to capture processes and regulatory needs.
• Translate business requirements into functional specs and configurations.
• Coordinate with WRICEF developers and SAP/non-SAP integrations.
• Provide ongoing support and drive continuous improvements.

The Opportunity

We are looking for a Senior Consultant specializing in SAP EHSM (Environment, Health & Safety Management) within the S/4HANA framework. This role focuses on modern safety processes such as Incident Management, Risk Assessment, Workplace Safety, Management of Change (MoC), and Safety Observations. You will work with advanced EHS capabilities including AI-driven safety instructions, risk analytics, and modular EHS components.

You will participate in requirement analysis, solution design, configuration, testing, documentation, and deployment of SAP Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) and Safety Management (EHSM) modules, ensuring high-quality delivery in line with EY standards.

Your Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Consultant, you will take ownership of key deliverables within workstreams and support client engagements across the project lifecycle.

Project & Delivery Responsibilities

• Support end-to-end delivery of SAP EHS/EHSM workstreams including requirements gathering, blueprinting, design, configuration, testing, and deployment.
• Conduct functional workshops with business stakeholders to understand EHS processes, compliance needs, and risk management requirements.
• Translate business requirements into functional specifications and system configurations.
• Assist in designing SAP EHS/EHSM solutions across modules such as:
  • Product Safety & Compliance (PS)
  • Industrial Hygiene & Safety (IH&S)
  • Occupational Health
  • Incident/Accident Management
  • Risk Assessment & Controls
  • Environment Management
  • Management of Change (MoC)
• Collaborate with technical teams for WRICEF development and integrations with SAP and non-SAP systems.
• Execute unit testing, system integration testing, UAT support, and deployment readiness.
• Create and maintain project documentation including PDDs, BPPs, configuration guides, and test scripts.

Stakeholder Management

• Work directly with client users, super-users, and business SMEs for issue resolution and requirement clarifications.
• Support client training sessions and user enablement during deployment.

Support & Enhancements

• Provide SAP EHS/EHSM application support, troubleshoot issues, and drive continuous improvements.
• Analyze system gaps, propose optimized solutions, and ensure alignment with S/4HANA best practices.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to address complex functional requirements.
• Ability to work independently on assigned deliverables and collaborate effectively in a hybrid (onshore-offshore) team.
• Clear communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage directly with clients.
• Strong documentation discipline and adherence to project governance standards.
• Ability to manage time, prioritize tasks, and work under minimal supervision.

Ideally, you’ll also have

• Hands-on configuration experience in SAP EHS/EHSM components:
  • Hazardous Substance Management
  • Safety Data Sheet (SDS) Management
  • Dangerous Goods Management
  • Incident/Accident Reporting
  • Risk Assessments, Controls & Mitigation
  • Good understanding of regulatory compliance standards (OSHA, REACH, GHS, ISO 45001, etc.)
  • Knowledge of SAP EHS master data and integration with:
    • SAP MM / PP / QM / PM
    • SAP Environment, Health & Safety Management (EHSM) submodules
  • Experience in S/4HANA EHS architecture and Fiori applications.
  • Experience in preparing functional specifications for enhancements, reports, workflows, and interfaces.
  • Exposure to SAP EHS mobile applications or third-party EHS tool integration is an added advantage.

What We Look For

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) Preferably Engineering
• 4-6 years of SAP EHSM / Workplace Safety experience.
• At least one complete EHS/EHSM implementation plus support/enhancement experience.
