Infosys in Chennai seeks a senior ERP data migration specialist to define and drive a centralized data migration factory and governance framework for global ERP rollouts.

You will lead end-to-end data migration activities including extraction, transformation, cleansing, loading, and cutover, collaborating with BPEs, data owners, and solution engineers to ensure data quality and successful go-live.

Competenze

• 10–15+ years of ERP data migration experience, SAP preferred.
• Proven track record in large-scale ERP transformations.
• Strong knowledge of data structures across Finance and Supply Chain.
• Leadership and stakeholder management skills required.

Role & responsibilities

1. 1. Data Migration Strategy & Factory Setup
   • Define and implement the Data Migration Factory model (centralized, repeatable approach)
   • Establish migration standards, templates, and tools
   • Define migration scope (master data, transactional data, historical data)
   • Align with ERP roadmap and rollout strategy
2. 2. Data Governance & Quality
   • Ensure alignment with global data standards (e.g., material master, business partners, finance data)
   • Define data quality rules and validation frameworks
   • Collaborate with Data Governance / MDG teams
   • Ensure data consistency across regions and systems
3. 3. Migration Execution (End-to-End)
   • Oversee data extraction, transformation, cleansing, and loading (ETL)
   • Define and manage migration cycles (mock loads, dress rehearsals, final load)
   • Ensure data readiness for testing and go-live
   • Manage cutover data migration activities
4. 4. Collaboration with Business & ERP Teams
   • Work closely with BPEs and business data owners to validate data
   • Align migration logic with process design and template standards
   • Collaborate with Solution Engineers and Technical teams
   • Ensure business ownership of data quality

5. 5. Tools & Automation
   • Define and implement migration tools (e.g., SAP Migration Cockpit, ETL tools)
   • Drive automation in data migration processes
   • Standardize reusable migration objects and scripts
   • Improve efficiency across rollout waves
6. 6. Testing & Validation
   • Define data validation strategy (pre-load, post-load, reconciliation)
   • Support SIT, UAT, and cutover validation
   • Ensure completeness, accuracy, and integrity of migrated data
   • Resolve data-related issues proactively
7. 7. Continuous Improvement & Scaling
   • Capture lessons learned from each wave
   • Improve migration approach for subsequent rollouts
   • Optimize effort, timeline, and quality
   • Build reusable assets and accelerators
8. 8. Governance & Reporting
   • Define KPIs for data migration success
   • Provide regular updates to program leadership
   • Manage risks related to data quality and migration
   • Ensure compliance with governance standards

Preferred candidate profile

• 1015+ years of experience in ERP data migration (SAP preferred)
• Proven experience in large-scale ERP transformations
• Strong knowledge of data structures (Finance, Supply Chain, etc.)
• Experience with SAP Migration tools / ETL tools
• Strong data governance and data quality experience
• Experience in global rollout / wave deployment model
• Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills
• Fluent in English
