Job summary

IBU Group is seeking a Senior SAP MDG Technical Consultant for PAN India locations with hybrid work, requiring 8+ years of SAP MDG and ABAP expertise. The role focuses on BRFplus workflows, MDG APIs, and advanced data governance within a complex SAP landscape.

You will design and implement MDG process models, configure data domains, and ensure robust integration with governing APIs and external systems. This is a full-time, fixed-term opportunity across multiple metro cities in India.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of SAP MDG experience with a focus on MDG technical stack and ABAP.
• Expert ABAP OOP with knowledge of enhancement framework in MDG.
• Strong BRFplus-based MDG workflows and DRF/DRFOUT experience.

Responsibilities

Senior SAP MDG Technical Consultant **PAN India Locations available (Hybrid onsite twice a week)**

The Talent Acquisition team at IBU Group is currently seeking a Senior SAP MDG Technical Consultant for a high-priority, critical initiative in collaboration with our strategic partner.

We are looking for a technical expert who brings depth over breadth, with proven, project-backed expertise across the MDG technical stack and ABAP.

Position Overview

Role: Senior SAP MDG Technical Consultant

Experience Required: 8+ Years

Location: Any metro city location across India (Hybrid – Twice a week in office)

Employment Type: Full-Time / Fixed-Term Employment

Core Technical Requirements (Non-Negotiable)

• BRFplus Workflow & Enhancements: Extensive experience designing and implementing BRFplus-based MDG approval workflows, including BADI implementations. Must have independently built and debugged these in project contexts.
• ABAP Object-Oriented Programming (OOP): Expert-level ABAP OOP (classes, interfaces, abstract classes, design patterns) and the ABAP enhancement framework as applied within MDG development.
• MDG APIs: Deep working knowledge of Governance APIs and Convenience APIs (edition-based reads, entity access), with experience integrating them within SAP and heterogeneous landscapes.
• Process Modelling: Hands-on configuration of MDG process models for standard and custom domains, including process steps, validations, derivations, and UI configuration via MDGIMG.
• Replication Framework: Proven experience with the MDG Replication Framework (DRF/DRFOUT)—outbound implementations, Business Object type mappings, replication filters, and end-to-end troubleshooting.

Additional Competencies

• MDG Domain Configuration: Experience configuring and extending standard MDG domains (Business Partner, Material Master, Finance) or custom domains, including data model extensions, UI modelling, and search configuration.
• Data Management: Proficiency in Key Mapping & Value Mapping, Data Quality & Validation Rules, Search & Duplicate Check, and MDG File-Based & Mass Processing.
• Security & Integration: Authorization & Role Design alongside end-to-end integration within the broader SAP Ecosystem.
