Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in project financial management and commercial management.
- Experience in SAP CPM implementation, ERP transformations or consulting.
- Strong knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, revenue recognition and risk management.
Responsibilities
- Act as commercial lead for SAP programs, ensuring governance and compliance.
- Own project budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and profitability analysis.
- Review contracts, MSAs and change requests to manage commercial risk.
- Monitor portfolio revenue, margins, and working capital.
- Lead risk management and contingency planning for SAP initiatives.
- Mentor CPM professionals and support capability development.

We are seeking a skilled SAP Commercial Project Management (CPM) Consultant to support the design, implementation, enhancement, and maintenance of SAP CPM solutions. The role offers a unique opportunity to be at the forefront of large-scale SAP transformation programs while developing expertise at the intersection of finance, strategy, project delivery, and commercial management.
- Act as the commercial lead for SAP implementation, support, migration, and transformation programs.
- Establish and maintain commercial governance frameworks across project portfolios.
- Support project leadership in ensuring projects are delivered within approved budgets, schedules, and contractual commitments.
- Drive project profitability while balancing customer satisfaction and delivery objectives.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, financial controls, and regulatory requirements.
- Own project financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting activities.
- Monitor project revenue, costs, gross margins, and cash flow performance.
- Analyze project financial health and proactively identify variances against forecasts.
- Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reviews.
- Drive corrective actions to improve project profitability and financial performance.
- Ensure accurate revenue recognition and project accounting in line with corporate and statutory requirements.
- Review customer contracts, Statements of Work (SOWs), Master Service Agreements (MSAs), and change requests.
- Ensure contractual obligations, commercial terms, and project assumptions are properly managed.
- Identify contractual risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Lead commercial negotiations related to scope changes, claims management, and contract amendments.
- Support bid reviews and project handovers from sales to delivery teams.
- Identify financial, contractual, operational, and compliance risks throughout the project lifecycle.
- Develop risk mitigation plans and track closure of identified risks.
- Monitor project performance indicators and escalates issues proactively.
- Support contingency planning and financial recovery strategies where applicable.
- Manage commercial oversight for multiple SAP projects and accounts.
- Track portfolio-level financial metrics including revenue, backlog, utilization, margin, and working capital.
- Provide insights and recommendations to improve overall business performance.
- Support leadership with dashboards, KPIs, and executive reporting.
- Ensure all scope changes are formally assessed and approved.
- Quantify financial and commercial impacts of project changes.
- Collaborate with delivery and customer stakeholders to secure change order approvals.
- Maximize revenue realization through effective scope management.
- Partner with Project Managers, Program Managers, Delivery Leads, and Customer Executives.
- Serve as a trusted advisor on commercial and financial matters.
- Communicate project financial performance to senior leadership and stakeholders.
- Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support successful project execution.
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies and governance requirements.
- Support internal and external audits.
- Maintain project documentation supporting financial and commercial decisions.
- Ensure adherence to revenue recognition, procurement, and financial reporting standards.
- Mentor and coach junior CPM professionals and project controllers.
- Drive best practices in commercial management across SAP programs.
- Contribute to organizational capability development and process improvements.
- Participate in recruitment, performance management, and career development activities.
- 8+ years of experience in project financial management, commercial management, project controlling, or program governance.
- Experience in SAP implementation, ERP transformation, managed services, or consulting environments.
- Strong understanding of project accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and revenue recognition.
- Knowledge of contract management and commercial risk management principles.
